Karst41
Until I see this line play, I am like uggh.Baker and Blalock are 5 and 7 year vetsand both are over 320 lbs.The entire line avarages 6'5 and in excess of 320 lbs.But back to experience.Konz 1 year 6'5 320 +Reynolds 4 years 6'7 330 ++Holmes 1 year. 6'6 330 ++I have never percieved Reynolds to have a nasty tempermenton the field, but he was here when Dahl was, so maybe we willhear about some TC "Dust Up's" involving Reynolds and Holmes. We know that Konz was the Top Rated Center in last years draft,so hopefully that, coupled with his rookie year at RG will be thecorrect formula of skill, size and experience.Reynolds is a big question mark and Holmes is too.(play on words unintended)Will Reynolds give us a full and healthy season? Is Holmes a mean and nasty player? The Massive CFA'sGood Grief, have you seen the specs on these guys? They are freaking Monstors.6'7 well over 300 lbs. Drunken Minotaur Zebra
I don't see how we could be worse in run-blocking. I think Holmes/Reynolds/Konz will be FAR more effective for the run and the same against the pass as McClure, Clabo, and the oldies.
Karst41
I will not argue that Clabo was simply not at his best last year.I would like to see the Right side of our Line to be a bit on the unruley side.It comes with a price in the early part of the season, but can pay out bigas the season progresses. Karst41
If Holmes is what everybody thinks he is then he will play RT andif Baker goes down, he will shift to LT.Now you have to ask, who comes in at RT?Does Reynolds shift over and somebody like Johnson plug in at RG or RT? I am really hoping one of them can pan out as a decent swing, I am still bummed about losing Svitek ....
Karst41
I hated losing Will too.But it does look like we are in a good place with this crop ofCFA's, and can give them some developement time like Reynolds.I was a bit panicky at first, but after the Draft and CFA round upTD's master plan for the Team has become clear. He has litterally built the team based on scouting the NCAA 2 years out,and this years draft completed the process. It will boil down to the picks and CDA's panning out in the war of attrition.(rookies)
falcons007
RT is a bigger question mark, the only thing which I am worried is GR staying healthy. He didn't finish last two seasons. If he is healthy, he had great technique to give Ryan enough time and keep the depth of the pocket clean.
