At the start of the Rockies series on April 22nd and that's good news because Freeman has done more damage against the Rockies than he has any other MLB team.

hold on so let me get this correct. Not only do we have the best record in baseball, along with the lowest era,but we get our cleanup hitter back? Lol oh let's not forgot our current cleanup hitter is not doing too bad himself. Be scared NL,be very scared. We aren't even close to 100% healthy yet

Yep. The NL should very, very scared of the Braves. God if feels good to say that and not have it just be a pipe dream. I haven't felt this way about the Braves in at least 10 years.

Totally different from our first few weeks last season huh?

Or most seasons for that matter. The Braves historically have been a bad team in April and May before starting to get it together in June and then hitting their stride in July. Here's the Braves early season records.

MARCH/APRIL

2012 - 14-9

2011 - 13-15 (1)

2010 - 9-14 (2)

2009 - 10-11 (3)

2008 - 12-15 (4)

2007 - 16-9

2006 - 10-14 (5)

2005 - 14-10

2004 - 11-10

2003 - 17-10

2002 - 12-15 (6)

2001 - 12-14 (7)

2000 - 18-6

1999 - 15-7

1998 - 18-9

1997 - 19-6

1996 - 16-11

1995 - 4-1

1994 - 15-8

1993 - 12-13 (8)

1992 - 11-11 (9)

1991 - 8-10 (10)

10 times since 1991 the Braves exited April with a .500 or worse record

MARCH/APRIL/MAY

2012 - 28-24 (1)

2011 - 30-26 (2)

2010 - 29-22

2009 - 25-25 (3)

2008 - 29-27 (4)

2007 - 30-23

2006 - 28-25 (5)

2005 - 28-23 (6)

2004 - 25-25 (7)

2003 - 37-18

2002 - 30-25 (8)

2001 - 26-26 (9)

2000 - 35-16

1999 - 31-20

1998 - 39-18

1997 - 36-17

1996 - 35-17

1995 - 20-13

1994 - 31-18

1993 - 29-23

1992 - 23-27 (10)

1991 - 25-19

10 times since 1991 the Braves excited May no more than 5 games over .500 and in 1992 actually had a losing record.

6 times since 1991 the Braves were 10 or more games over .500 at the end of May and those years turned out really well for the most part.

1994 - 13 games over .500 - Finished at 68-46 (.596) - 6 games behind the Expos. Was on pace to win 96 or 97 games. Expos were just on a whole another planet that year and I still wonder what might have been with them. I really do feel sorry for the city of Montreal.

1996 - 18 games over .500 - Finished at 96-66 (.593) - 8 games ahead of the Expos. (Lost to the Yankees in the WS)

1997 - 19 games over .500 - Finished at 101-61 (.623) - 9 games ahead of the Marlins. (Lost to the Marlins in the NLCS)

1998 - 21 games over .500 - Finished at 106-56 (.654) - 18 games ahead of the Mets. Those 106 wins are the most in franchise history. (Lost to the Padres in the NLCS)

1999 - 11 games over .500 - Finished at 103-59 (.636) - 6.5 games ahead of the Mets. (Lost to the Yankees in the WS)

2000 - 19 games over .500 - Finished at 95-67 (.586) - 1 game ahead of the Mets. (Lost to the Cardinals in the NLDS)

2003 - 19 games over .500 - Finished at 101-61 (.623) - 10 games ahead of the Marlins. (Lost to the Cubs in the NLDS)

So usually if the Braves get off to a great start to the season then it carries into the summer and it ends up being a really fun year for the most part.

Falconsfan567, you are a wealth of sports knowledge that I can't even attempt to attain.

Thanks. HS was very fun. My friends used to try to stomp me all the time and very rarely did they have a question that I didn't know the answer to. It was usually basketball related. I'm not into basketball too much so my knowledge there is very limited but if it's baseball, football or NASCAR I'm your man.
