atlas
With all the mocks on this site you guys differ on opinions on various players yet i have not seen any say he would not be suitable or good value in the 3rd to 5th round. Most seem to beleive he is a viable option .

Rai
Strictly a RG because he's not the best pass blocker but he's mobile and can get movement in the run game.

blizzard_falcon
I think he'd be a fantastic pick in the 4th, but we may have picked up someone to be our new starting RG before then.
The Dirty Bird
I think he'd be a fantastic pick in the 4th, but we may have picked up someone to be our new starting RG before then.He can play either OG spot, what Rai said about him not being a good pass protector isn't true but also is aside from the point that it's irrelevant. The right/left passing issue is only relevant for tackles because you're getting people off of the edge and a right handed QB can't see a DE or blitzer bending around the edge that isn't facing him. He can see both defensive tackles as they come into the pocket.Bailey is a very good OG, he was the only good thing on film that Arkansas had going for it this year. He probably won't make it to either of our 4th rounders imo, but if he does and we take him it wouldn't be a bad pick. He could eventually take over for Blalock, and he's basically a 2nd rounder talent. Consistent blocker, good power to finish off blocks, mobile for pulling, and has good feet. With Reynolds penciled in at RG, and Holmes and Johnson battling for RT, it's also good to have good depth. God forbid Reynolds gets hurt again and we have a problem with RG again. Bailey could step in immediately. I'd like to see us land a developmental OG this year anyway, because our one "old" OL now is Blalock. If we can have someone in the wings to replace him when his contract is up then our line can be a unit that plays together for many years and get some chemistry and consistency going. Rai
Faster DT typically play on the weak side of the formation like Babineaux. Though not as much as a tackle, you still need lateral agility to play Guard because DTs do more than just bull rush. I like Bailey quite a bit, I've had him in my two of my previous 3 mocks, but I'm not blind to his flaws.

The DT can rush to the left or to the right, which is the same for both OG spots. And DTs can line up at either spot, or you can face a 3-4 and be against a nose tackle, or a team can use two gap shooters.Sometimes teams prefer to have the better run blocking OG on the right side because the RT is usually a mauler if a team has one mauling OT. Then you have a power side to run against. Some teams it's the left side though, as the Jets had Ferguson and Faneca and a while back the Vikings had McKinnie and Hutchinson. The only position that isn't interchangeable is LT and RT, because the way you have to set up in pass blocking with kicking your leg and out and protecting the edge is the exact opposite. Sometimes OTs can do it without a problem like New England's Sebastian Vollmer, and sometimes OTs can struggle tremendously like Baltimore's Michael Oher.
