Meh. I think these holier-than-thou, I'm-a-better-fan-than-you, self-righteous, ClownShoe threads should be removed by the mods within two seconds of hitting the boards and the poster banned for life. Please shove this post up your azz.

Personally I am sick and tired of being "A Real Fan"

I want a Lombardi Trophy residing in Atlanta.

Me as well but the encouraging thing is that it is obvious that the owner feels the same way as we do. It is not that way in many NFL cities and did not used to be that way here......

Well the ignorant hate on Matt Ryan really pizzes me off and IMO epitomizes some of the ATL fans... Unappreciative.

But to bitche about it makes me think you're an attention-seeking man who wants to stir up drama... so I say good day to you SIR................

"Fans" here don't appreciate what a player does for the team, they are driven by emotions and agendas. They hate players that contribute while they're here and it gets even worse if they want to get paid or leave. The fans unrealistically expect players to play for pennies regardless of the physical punishment that they take, then spew this love of the game stuff. These guys don't do anything that any of us wouldn't do in the same situation. Its a business on both ends players have to look out for themselves because the owners and regrettably the "fans" don't.

90% of posters here don't know how to be fans...ungracious, uncouth, and classless. Might as well be TrashBook with the stupid comments that I read from some posters around these boards (that I have been posting to since they were created). Much love to those who KNOW WHAT THE SPORT OF FOOTBALL IS and show a little respect to those who put themselves in danger for our amusement. KUDOS TX! At least you understand.

You know since your a falcons fan, your considered one of the people your referring to? You don't know anyone personally from this board. You know what the media and other people have told you. Every person is different.

People obviously don't visit other teams fan boards or go to other teams games. What's a joke, is our fans bashing our fans. Stop it!!

Its so funny because its true. The only people I ever hear bish about our fan base is our fan base and the trolls on this one board. Everywhere else its quite the opposite.

Most of the Ryan haters, are the lost souls still clinging to Vick. They were never Falcons fans, until Vick came along. It's sad they can't just move on. Their hero let us down and will never play for Atl again. Is close to his entire NFL career being over. I give it 3 more years.

I disagree. The Vick fans for the most part have moved on. What you have left are you small group of pessimistic crybags that every team has. Nothing is ever good enough, because they have no idea how to enjoy the success. It's not the past they are clinging to, it's being scared of possible future success. It's worse when you have no championships to fall back on.

Hmmmm so it's okay when a player knocks a fan base but fans can't knock back? In the early years maybe their was some validity but since the late 80's even football salaries have got so out of whack. Find it difficult to feel to much sympathy most are well compensated for their NFL careers , and if they feel like they aren't they can always walk away into the real world. Yes they are entitled to get as much as they can but along the way maybe they ought to develope a little thicker skin and maybe just maybe give back a little like Warrick Dunn and others do because they realize it's what a opportunity it is.

I am so very tired of reading articles about "Atlanta Fans". I've been a Falcons and Braves fan for most of my life. I live and die with these teams. I know heartache each and every year. I still celebrate the one championship that I got to be a part of. Every time I read one of these negative articles about Atlanta fans I just grind my teeth. They don't describe me at all.

if you think atlanta fans are negative, you should move here to PA where it is eagle's country my friend...they booed mike schmidt and threw snowballs at santa...this is where we come to voice opinions, vent our frustrations, and maybe learn something from other fans who are just as passionate about their team as you and i...we may not agree always, if we did..the message boards would have no use
