Clark Kent™
I'm not a big fan of his. I agree with Yorks analysis of him. I'd much rather have Trufant, but i'd really much rather have a DE
Bill Brasky
I like how Poyer thought he had the angle to catch Goodwin on that reverse (play :50 second mark Texas v. oregon state video) and then Goodwin turned on the jets. You're not catching Marvelous Marquise, Poyer, nobody is.

You're not catching Marvelous Marquise, Poyer, nobody is.But the HUSTLE. With more and more guys jogging if the play isn't on their side of the field nowadays, seeing a guy with 4.5 speed take off with reckless abandon to try and catch a guy with 4.2 speed - and almost SUCCEED - is very impressive to me. Goodwin is just too fast, man. Biggest issue with Poyer to me is his inconsistency tackling and shedding blocks on WR screens...but come on, with a CB, those are tiny complaints. I see so much Grimes in his game it's crazy. What bodes especially well is how many INTs come in the NFL off of undercutting routes and his penchant for doing so, just like Grimes. In college ball, very few corners have the reaction time necessary to do that on a regular basis.
HouseofEuphoria
Biggest issue with Banks is he could probably be taken in the 2nd round. We should be able to nab him as our 2nd pick. Better yet, we could trade back and get him and in return get another 2nd pick or a 1st next year.I like Banks. I think his biggest upside is the fact his stats came against SEC teams whereas Trufant worked against west coast bs QBs.Either way, Banks is worth a 1st rounder, but barely. I think there are other options that allow us to draft banks without spending the #30 pick on him, and the money a 1st rd pick demands. That's Dimitroffs job. MSalmon
I like him. Be interesting to see where he goes. Heck we can draft him and his secondary mate, Slay and I'd be happy
rootee
We're going to need 2 CBs out of this draft. Probably need to get both in rounds 1-4, because they will probably both have to play in their first year. I'll let TD do the picking, but I think Trufant in the first is a good start. Remember "speed kills".
HEIST
Banks could be valued over Trufant because of his production
CHOCTHEFALCONFAN™
props to "ChoctheFalcon" as he had a 1st round projected pick of Jonathan Banks earlier today. preciate that. I agree on the Richard Sherman part too!
spiker
Ranking Poyer over Millner is truly laughable
falcons4life
Does the team really want a zone-only CB? If this was BVGs defense I could see taking him but Nolan mixes it up with plenty of man coverage. Would this kid be a liability in man packages? Psychic Gibbon
Richard Sherman ran a 4.5 something I believe.Sherman ran a 4.55. Grimes ran a 4.58.People put way too much stock in 40 times.

mumblesjr
are you sure this wasn't brian banks who worked out for us, and not jonathan banks?love banks, and if taken @ 30 that would be great

Yes, man coverage might be a weakness of his but, that doesn't mean he can't improve.

Banks plays in a zone system so that means that is all he can do? really?

g-dawg
I watched Jonathan Banks live and on tape - he did not look slow either way. I don't care what the stop watch says - this guy plays fast.
Francis York Morgan
Personally, I don't think he's slow because of his 40 - heck, I'm a huge Damontre Moore and Jarvis Jones advocate - I think Banks is slow because he's slow on the field. Watch how he breaks on routes, stuff like slants and outs.

chazbykr
I think Banks counterpart Darius Slay is potentially better. Can probably be had in 2nd. He's faster and has better skills and int's. Robb4242
Personally, I love tall corners. I'd be very happy with grabbing Banks at 30.
