Biggest Impact Player At #30?

Recommended Posts

Hey falcon nation I'm a daily reader on here and jus wanted to start up some good debates...... Guys I believe the biggest impact player we can grab at 30 is datone jones from ucla his skill set is enough to come in now and get at least 4 sacks this season!! I know corner is also a big need but we can get studs in the 2nd or even 3rd.... How y'all feel bout jones?

That's who I had in my mock before Grimes signed with Miami.

Tyler eifert but unfortunately that's not a hole to fill now

Well depends on how you look at it.... for 2013 no its not.

But for 2014 it is.

And he could still have a big impact in 2013 because we do run alot of 2 tight sets...... and with all of the attention that Roddy,Julio, Tony, and Jackson get he is going to have A LOT of 1 on 1's with linebackers who are too slow for him, or safeties who are too small for him.

He could help us be better on third downs and in the redzone. which in turn can help the defense.

all that is why I didn't understand the desperation to bring tony back. I understand he's a hall of fame blah blah blah but there are other men capable of bringing the same effort that he brought week in and week out, even a rookie.

as I said in my last Mock - Keenan Allen

This year he'd push HD to the bench and if not would provide a breather to our others. Next year and in the future he starts to develop into Roddy's heir.

FYI: the only picks I'd hate would be TE or RB. Everything else is good, I just believe a stud WR is that last piece of one of the best offenses ever.

(1 - Keenan Allen will most likely not be there @ 30...

(2 - HD does not need to be "pushed". He's a fine slot WR, IMO...

Don't mean to be hateful towards you, but I just disagree with your assessment there.

Allen won't be there plus we have bigger needs. There are good receivers we can get later.

Realistically, Tyrann. He will have a bigger immediate impact than any LB or DB thats picked of head of him from the jump. Because he couldnt stop smoking weed people forget that he is easily the most talented DB in this draft..maybe not the best cover guy but if he doesnt fail that 3rd test hes a top 15 pick.

I can agree there. He'd have a huge impact on this team.
