This is crap. He knows our offense like the back of his hand. He also knows Ryan's tendencies and the whole offense's for that matter. We will have to plan for and adjust to this for both games we play them.

I thought he was a very good back up and even though I like Davis I'm not sure he will be ready if something happens to Ryan.

The New Orleans Saints now have more than one quarterback on their roster as veteran passer Luke McCown agreed to a one-year contract, McCown's agent Mike McCartney said via Twitter. The team also announced the deal Monday afternoon.

It appears for now that McCown will be Drew Brees' backup after Chase Daniel signed with Kansas City during free agency.

McCown, 31, spent time with the Falcons during the 2012 season as the former Louisiana Tech standout has been a career backup quarterback during his previous nine seasons in the NFL.

McCown also spent time with the Saints throughout last offseason after signing with the Saints last June while Brees missed all of the Organized Team Activities and minicamp with a contract dispute. The team released McCown in late August.

good now we can draft another under the radar stud and have 3 decent qb's! McCown only got the gig coz he's very familiar with Koetter and his ways. Not because he was a game changer or bless him a legit pass threat.

That said Carson Palmer Tim Tebow et al will be looking askance at ATL for a clip holding gig.

I'd rather draft.....!
