Falconsfan567
The MLB.tv free game of the day for opening day is the Padres at the Mets. Seriously? I mean I don't expect them to show the great teams on opening day or much throughout the season but at least give us a game like the Royals at White Sox where at least 1 team has a shot at making the playoffs. The Mets are one of the 5 worse teams in baseball this year along with the Astros, Marlins, Twins and Cubs.

I don't have a cable box. I get my cable straight from the outside cable.
Falconsfan567
Well MLB.tv changed the free game of the day to the Cardinals vs. Diamondbacks. Why does that suck? Because the Cardinals vs. Diamondbacks game is on ESPN2 tonight.

Yunel Escobar hit into a double play to end the game. Disappointing result for the Rays. They were down 2-1 in the bottom of the 6th and KJ led off the inning with a walk and the Rays took advantaged and scored 2 runs to get the lead 3-2 and then the O's scored 5 runs in the top of the 7th with 2 outs. You're trying to sell it to watch games people can't, but without giving anything away for free.
Cable Guy
it is really good to have if you are out of the Braves market or just love baseball. They offer 2 subscriptions. Basic for $100 or Premium for $125. You can pay price up front or they can do it in 5 monthly payments.

I mean it really is.The only way a person is blacked out is if their service provider does not carry the channel that markets team is on. With MLB the local channel has carrying rights over ESPN from what i have experienced. My example would be i live in the rangers and astros market. If they are on ESPN it is blacked out on ESPN and i have to watched it on Fox Sports Houston or Fox Sports Rangers. If you travel a lot and get MLB.tv to still be able to watch the games you wouldn't be able to if you were in the Braves market because it would be blacked out. All you would get would be the radio feed. That's where it's unfair at.2. Revamp the television blackout policy. The technological revolution that has enabled fans to watch games in other markets via MLB.tv and Extra Innings, and on devices such as tablets and smartphones, is a wonderful thing. But MLB could do an even better job of building its audience by scrapping the arcane blackout rules that prevent fans from watching their local nine — or several not-quite-local nines — via such packages in real time. It’s not like they’re unwilling to pay for the privilege of watching crucial at-bats from the bus stop or the bathroom.http://mlb.si.com/20...w/?sct=uk_wr_a1

It grabs the location of your current IP every now and again, so if you are out of the market, you can watch your home team on it. One way to get around it is to use a proxy so that your IP is coming from somewhere else. I think what they should do is that if you're in the market and you're paying for MLB.tv, they should give you the games, but still show the advertisements that are playing locally, so they don't get cut out of what they are paying for. It goes from parts of Arkansas all the way to parts of North Carolina. If you're paying for MLB.tv you should be able to watch any game, any time, any where. Blackout rules should be eliminated because you're paying to be able to watch a game.

The local TV stations would kill MLB if they lifted the blackout rules. Their advertising revenue would go down the toilet along with the # of viewers. It's MLB.tv's doing that they don't show the commercials for the local broadcast feed. They could do that and take that excuse right out the window. Another reason they don't show commercials on it is that most people that get it are watching their team from out of market. I live in New Orleans why do i need to see a commercial for an Atlanta area based store that I can't go to or buy from.mlb.tv is advertised for people not living in their favorite teams market. Just like Sunday NFL ticket, NHL Center Ice, and NBA League Pass. Edited April 3, 2013 by Cable Guy

If MLB is going to corner the market like they are they need to allow people to legally watch games on their tablets and I-pods and such regardless of which team it is and where you're at.
