ssippifalcon
Im bored and working over night so i figured id waste some time on a mock draft, this is a draft mock only so if you dont like that i dont include the last of free agency then your welcom to just not finish reading this thread. Rd1. Jonathan Banks, CB mississippi stateWith the release of drobinus, and the loss of grimes and owens i see CB as our biggest need, i can see banks falling to us at 30 and he has all the measurables to hang with big strong recievers and make plays. Id also be ok with trufant here but i just dont see him falling to 30.Rd2. Jesse Williams, DT, alabamaDT in my opinion is our second biggest need and if we can find a way to snag jesse williams in the second then i would be ecstatic. Now that being said a trade up may be the only way we have a chance at getting him but its a big possibility that with the DT depth this year that he could fall to us at our pick. I dont mock trades so hes my pick here.Rd3. Jamie Collins, OLB, southern missI know i know collins probably wont fall to us here but hey a guy can dream right . Anyhow in this case, should he not fall to us id like to see us grab a guy like zaviar gooden. I dont expect him to be a starter as i believe our issues last year were scheme based but the need for depth here is big.Rd4. Tyrann matthieu, CB LSUI know a few of you dont like this guy but atlanta did meet with him and if he falls this far then i could definately see atlanta pulling the trigger on a guy with his type of talent and playmaking ability. And once again with the state of our CB core i can see a double dip at the position.Rd4 comp. kwame Geathers, DT georgiaWith the loss of walker i could see us double dipping at DT and possibly cutting jerry in or after camp if he cant beat out these guys. Plus a big space eater will only help our run defense.Rd5. Marcuss Lattimore, RB south carolinaIm not one thats really on the lattimore wagon but with the signing of sjax i could see atlanta bringing lattimore in and give him time to heal for a year or so simply because of the possible talent he could bring to the table. Again not a big fan of this move, just thinking logically, TD and crew tend to take chances on talented injured players and the possible reward may be too much for them to pass up.Rd6. Michael Williams, TE AlabamaIMO he is the most underated TE in this draft, he has the pottential to be great and if palmer isnt resigned then i see williams taking his spot. Rd7. Garrett Gilkey, OT, Chadron StateMost of my 7 th round picks are just projects but i see o line as a need for depth and competitors to push our other guys.Rd7 comp1. Omoregie uzzi, OG, Georgia TechI see reynolds starting this year at guard but the need for a guard is there even if it isnt a big need.Rd7 comp2. Marquess Wilson, WR washingtonI also like chad bumphis here as well out of MSU.Rd7 comp 3. Joe Krugger, DE UtahCome on man you cant pass up a kruger relative. Huge upside to this pick and absolutely no risk. Cant get any better than that. And by the way i dont personally see DE as big a need as DT. I think we are good at DE for this year, with talent infused on the interior line i see our DEs making a much bigger impact this year. Let me know what you guys think. I do love this mock though if we bring back abe though but still would hope that we use a higher pick on a DE or TE to learn from the vets
