DirtyBirdsDirtyWords
If Bjoern and Trufant are there at 30 we should take Trufant?I say it would be an absolute no brainer to take Werner but it seems some on this board are so in love with Trufant they want him regardless of the DE talent at 30. I believe we could find a perfectly capable 3rd cb in the 4th and let McClain start. Go Werner, NT, OLB. CB. Just wanted to see your thoughts
Atlanta_Dawgs46
I would take Bjoern Werner in a heart beat. He has a good motor and can play at a heavier weight than he was playing at this year. There are a lot of good corner that we can in the second ground--- Slay, Amerson, kid from Southern.
SavvyFalcon89
Of course I would love to be wrong, but I don't believe Werner is gonna be there when we pick unfortunately. You can say his stock is falling all you like, but usually the tape never lies. And his looks pretty d*mn solid. If Trufant is there I would take him barring any other Dimi moves. As of right now, our cornerback situation doesn't look as good as it was last year. This draft is is just so loaded in terms of value that we could still get a good quality player in the second round. Heck I wouldn't mind that we take a linebacker in the first round as well. That is just my two cents
leftfield
considering that DB is possibly TD's best department for getting talent I would expect that we do not spend our 1st on the best CB. I trust that we will know of a number of options that are lower rounders that can play.Swearinger in the 2nd Woerner in the 1st

DirtyBirdsDirtyWords
I'm also not counting Werner on being there obviously. Just a pipe dream. I'd have to change my pants
Falkonator
even if we didn sign osi i doubt we would take werner, prob moore or trade douwn would seem more likely
kiwifalcon
I want another play making guy at LBer.Actually I'll just say it if Alec Ogletree is there when we pick we take him.
Knight of God
I still think we need a LE. That may just be me. If Woerner is there, I say do it. If not, then move on. One thing we can say, this draft is deep in DE, LB, DT, and DB.

isproab
DE is still the #1 need on this team. CB has to be a close 2nd, but I would not rule out LB or DT. Falcons have options. I really don't think they will take a TE at 30. I could see them moving back or up to get somebody, but I don't think at this point we will take an offensive player with our first pick. LADBABY
We have the same needs after the Osi signing as wedid before, he just fills the gap left by Abe's departure. So as the draft comes to us at 30 we pick the best playeravailable at CB or DE. There also may be somebody they think isspecial at some other position who falls to us and is just too goodto pass on. I think we will be able to field a team. Flying Falcon
We're picking a LB in the 1st.
paulitik
To be honest, as long as we get the best DE, CB, or LB available, I could care less. Just get a playmaker, whether it be Werner, Trufant, or Ogletree. I'd be happy with John Jenkins too.
Mid-Nite-Toker
I'm leaning cb(Trufant)
Clark Kent™
Werner no doubt. We have one proven pass rusher on this team so far. Biermann is good, but is used in other areas alot. McClain will be a better CB than Dunta was. Our starting corners are already better if McClain starts over Dunta. Some think he can't play on the outside, i disagree. But if we do choose to go CB first then i think that obviously means I am wrong about McClain and they prefer him in the slot. 4dabirds
I think this draft is going to be excellent for the Falcons. I think we'll get great value at 30.
EightyEight
Trufant isn't very strong when he tackles, he'll get destroyed in the NFL when it comes to that, so he better not let anyone catch the ball. Additionally, he gets by with a lot of interference and that kinda stuff. I will say this, he has improved quite a bit since his sophomore season:Sophomore: 2012:
FalconMama
I would still take the best DE on the board.
B_ELLIS24
I would be happy with either one of those two.

Then in the second round you take that position out of the mixand do it again. Get 2 or 3 playmakers in this draft and some fresh prospects and wehave done what we can do.
