Brady is pissed:

Tom Brady - QB - Patriots

A source close to Tom Brady tells CSN New England he is "beyond enraged" at the Patriots letting Wes Welker for two years and $12 million, and feels it is a "disgrace" and a "disservice."

The funny thing being his new contract was supposed to help them sign players and make a push...

These changes might be bad news for the rest of the league. Draft a couple young WRs to go with 2 good TEs and lots of RB talent (don't forget they have Jeff Demps) to stop leaning on Welker for the easy stuff.

Might see Tom threaten 50 TDs again.

I don't see the 50 TD's thing happening anytime soon. The league is noticing that being pass happy is not enough. Alot of teams that have a Top 10 QB are already have or going to a running game to lean back on. The Patriots are one of the teams. Even the Packers are trying or already* have Steven Jackson who had a chance of breaking that 50 TD's with Rodgers who had 45...., I believe. Are trying to get S The year Matt Flynn threw 6 or 7 TD's. Which makes me think if they have the Team Passing TD record.

*Adam S. posted then deleted Steven Jackson reach terms with the Packers.

The person that is "pissed" is someone close to Brady, not Brady himself according to reports. With that being said, Brady can't be happy with what happened

What anyone here seemingly failed to mention is that Welker could've grossed $16 MIllion on the 2-year, $10 Million offer by the Patriots. New England has put up with his crap enough over the past year or so and when Welker (and his Reps) halted their talks on Tuesday, the Patriots went ahead with 'Plan B' to get a younger replacement in Amendola and get him signed for several years as to not put up with any more of 'Wishy-Washy-Welker'.

So, who screwed who? Brady should be P.O.'d, not at the Patriots but at Welker after taking a cut so that he could get resigned. After all the smoke settles though, Denver got an improvement with Welker and the Pats may have one in Amendola.
