Let's (hypothetically) say you have the following two options at 30:

1) a safety you think will be the next Ed Reed

2) a DE you think will be the next Partrick Kearney

Kearney was a solid DE for the Falcons for years. Not spectacular, but he definitely got the job done.

Reed, over the years, has been one of the best safeties of all time.

Our need at DE outweighs our need at S by a lot--a whole lot. Given these two scenarios, which would you go with?
