xSICKxWITHxITx
Did anyone here D Sanders and M Mayock talking about him at the combine? Sanders thinks he has changed and quit smoking weed. Sanders said he will be in the field every down. Sanders told Mayock he just may not be strong I think he said F Smoot who played 10 yrs in the league only out up 1 rep. 3-4th round is where he will go Mayock thinks now. Sanders doesn't think he will last that long. If the kid has grown up where he doesn't need a baby sitter I say take him. Sanders said he will be good for a team day 1 as a rookie. Said he's mad and motivated. He can tackle, blitz, play man, zone has good hands and can return the ball. Perfect for a Nickel back which Nolan loves. With all these good corners and times I say we get him. Best value for where he goes. We will draft 1 corner.LSU CB Tyrann Mathieu ran forty times of 4.43 and 4.50 at the Combine Tuesday. After managing a pitiful four reps of 225 pounds on the bench press Monday, Mathieu needed a fast time to salvage his stock. The two solid forties should do the trick. It's the speed he'll need after measuring in at just 5-foot-8 3/4 and 186 pounds. The Honey Badger, profiling as an intriguing slot corner prospect, now has a good shot at being a day-two selection.
Tribal Chief
Someone will focus on what he does on the field and get a good player later in the draft.

isproab
I still say no. Too many off field problems and we need bigger CBs. McClain is in the mix long range according to TD via Troy Aikman. Can I at least get a 5' 10'' guy? One that I don't have to worry about because he already has things together.
Flying Falcon
I'll take Brandon McGee from Miami if he's available first, but if he's gone, then I'll take Tyrann. McGee is bigger and stronger. Edited February 26, 2013 by Flying Falcon
TheFalconRises
I trust Sanders judgment. Ill take him if he falls to us in 4/5th Edited February 26, 2013 by AtlantaFanSince1991

Franks will be gone.

Kizu_7
I've liked what I've seen from Will Davis (Utah state) as far as cornerbacks go.However if ATL is looking for a kick returner then maybe take a chance on TM late

Flying Falcon
I liked him, but he's not the play maker everyone is talking about like Tyrann.Playmaker talk is overrated. We need physical DBs. TM isn't physical enough. This is the NFL. You go up against the best every week and our division is the toughest.

I'll take that, and Nolan loves to blitz his slot corner.

1989Fan
lol, something about a dope head who cant bench when he needs to, and dyes his curls blonde makes me say stay away.....Seriously though, if they did their homework and feel his is worth a flyer round 3 or later, I could get behind it. There is no denying he was a player at LSU, and that was when football seemed to be secondary to him. So if he played like that before and is finally now motivated.....could be a heck of a grab. The idea of him even sniffing round 2 is nothing more than the media trying to make a feel good story for him to get some press. I want my DB going for the ball in the air, not waiting to get a strip after the catch. We have enough of DBs that do that now. Gibson's Finest
I do not like this guy and don't want him on this team. Just watching him in the on field drills, he seems to want to be a showman. Dude here trying to be fancy catching the ball. GTFOH. NO to this fool

Mr. Lubba Lubba©
Where do Sanders' allegiances lie though? He'll usually take a player or two under his wing (usually a troubled player), so he may just be boosting him up more than he should. He said he just went and visited him while he was working out with Patrick Peterson. He said he drilled him hard in an interview asking tough questions. ssippifalcon
I wouldnt be opposed to taking matthieu in the 3rd or 4th at all. Whether some like to admit it or not matthieu is a play maker, and hes a strong tackler. I would be comfortable with mcclain and samuel on the outside and matthieu in the slot. And he is ALWAYS around the ball for turnovers. And he ran a good 40 time to put to rest the noise that people were saying that he was slow. k-train
Uhhh... does no one remember Jimmy Williams? Seems like we've been down that road of blowing a 2nd round pick on a pothead who was a "playmaker" in college. How well did that work again?
