The question on the first part, is who is the replacement?

I don't really factor Blank into this hypothetical, because as the owner it's hard to pinpoint what area would suffer or improve with a different owner, and with only other owners to compare him to, the field is relatively small. Plus, he's not replaceable like the other guys are.

In terms of what is available right now,

I'd probably go

1. TD

2. Smith

3. Ryan

There are a bunch of personnel guys coming up in the league in other consistent organizations that we could tap and see if they can do as good or better than TD, but it'd be hard.

Smith is a great coach, the best we've ever had, so that's be hard to replace. A guy like Cowher or Gruden might be an upgrade if you can convince them ot come back, but the field is small for good/great HC's.

Ryan is the least replaceable at the moment, because there are just not any better QB's out there right now who are available. If you think a Matt Flynn or Alex Smith can come in an replace Ryan, we probably have different opinions of Ryan as a QB.

I voted McKay to get rid of. Never been a fan of his and I feel like he is easiest to replace.

Previous 5 years MVP. That's pretty tough. I'd h e to give a co MVP to all listed.

I'd go with Blank. Blank writes checks. TD, Mike Smith and Matt Ryan have a tremendous impact on the team.

Anyone who thinks it would be easy to replace Dimitroff, Smith or Ryan is either an idiot or a monday morning quarterback with delusions of grandeur. If you've ever lobbied for Jake Locker, you need to leave this thread.

McKay is too much of what is wrong with the NFL. I feel like he threw Dunta under the bus on the DeSean Jackson hit and was a very mediocre GM. He's gone after the stadium deal anyway.

I don't think the talent's the league's best either, but IMO Smitty gets bested by the more cerebral, upper echelon coaches....Reid, Payton, McCarthy....etc....

Now, I realize you can easily turn that around and say that those teams have better talent than the Falcons (and you might be right) but I personally believe Smitty's the most expendable....

I think he just gets out-talented. If you look at areas where the coach has a big impact, beyond personnel, such as penalties, turnover margin, time of possession etc., Smitty is among the league greatest influencers.
