Robb4242 2,701
My mistake I will tender Velasco and Matthews..Velasco will be tendered with a Level 2 tender: $1,750,000 tender for Right of first refusal and 2nd round draft pick.Matthews will be tendered with a Level 1 tender: $1,000,000 tender for Right of first refusal and draft selection at the players original salary level.Just to be clear, you could either tender or offer them deals. You don't have to tender just because they are RFAs. Tendering guarantees you will either retain them or get a draft pick. If you want to go with the lower offer, and risk it to FA, that's fine as well.
Robb4242 2,701
Just to clarify, are we supposed to be saving any cap space for signing rookies and stuff? Or is our allocated cap space exclusively for free agency?cap space is exclusively for FA.

You pay 1 bonus (i.e. 4 million) and it is divided evenly over the entire deal (1 million per year). You can't pick pick a bonus for year 1 & a different bonus for year 2. Reason is that in the NFL bonuses are paid up front, but when figuring the cap hit, the amount of the bonus is spread over the course of the contract. So a 4 million dollar bonus when a player signs on counts 1 million towards his cap hit every season of the deal. Also, you have more cap space than you realize. Check the IMD website. Kayoh 5,049
Lance Louis - 5 year 4.5 million. 1.0 mil signing bonus. 750k per year. Year one cap hit: 950k (rounds up to 1 mil)Jonathan Scott - 5 year 4.5 million. 1.0 mil signing bonus. 750k per year. Year one cap hit: 950k (rounds up to 1 mil)these deals can't happen under the rules we're working with. The bonus needs to be divisible by the years in the contract with the result being an even million, 250k, 500k or 750k. 5 year contract with 1m as the signing bonus would result in a 200k per year bonus, which isn't one of those numbers. You'd need to make it 1.25m, 2.5m, 3.75m, 5m, etc for a 5 year contract. If you want to keep it at 1 mil you need to change it to 1, 2 or 4 year offers.

IA Falcon07 434
20% of 4 is .8, not 1. 3. For any deal more than 1 year in length, if the base salary is 5 million or greater, the base salaries can only increase by a maximum of 20% per season. For 1st year base salaries lower than 5 million, the maximum increase per season can not exceed 1 million dollars. This works yes?
