You can be a legitimate star here.)T Sebastian Vollmer6 year deal, $9 million signing bonus ($1.5 mil per year)Y1: $4.5 MY2: $5.5 MY3: $6.5 MY4: $7.5 MY5: $9 MY6: $10.75 MTotal: $52.75 MCap Hit: $6 M(stick it to the Pats 2x a year, who disrespected you by not even giving you an offer. As the best pass blocking RT on the market, you and D'Brick can protect our QB as we launch a new aerial attack. Did I mention you can help us beat up on the Pats 2x a year forever? Also most guaranteed $ and highest total $)The Jets had $21.25 million left in cap to use on FAs after retaining OG Brandon Moore and signing RB Rashard Mendenhall, OG/C Donald Thomas, FS Chris Clemons, and DL Glenn Dorsey all for minimum $250k deals ($1.25 mil off the $22.5 mil in cap space to use). These deals use up the $21.25 mil in its entirety.Jets pull their offers for OG Andy Levitre and S Dashon Goldson and TE Jared Cook, and any other players that may have outstanding offers from the Jets but I believe those are the only two.we also pulled our offer for Cruz btw, just realized

The Dirty Bird 549
Was worried about you with Cruz man. Happy with all my bids.Oh, and BIDS ARE NOW CLOSED.I had to choose between Cliff Avril (whom I love), and Victor Cruz -- who with a healthy Santonio Holmes, Stephen Hill, Jeremy Kerley, Braylon Edwards and what should be Joe Flacco -- was a luxury. Absolutely needed Avril as the stud 3-4 OLB.

The Dirty Bird 549
****... Dirty Birdyou timed that thing perfectlyHey man, I'm a long time vet of the IMD. Usually it gets far more hectic that it just did. I had a ton of different offers up that I could copy and paste to max out my cap. Really was considering going with Loadholt and Jared Cook, but I need a great pass protector at RT and that's why I upped for Vollmer instead of Loadholt. This draft is stacked with TEs anyway.
The Dirty Bird 549
Just noticed I pasted in the wrong big for Vollmer, as that doesn't max out my cap by 500k. Should have been:6 year deal, $9 million signing bonus ($1.5 mil per year)Y1: $5 MY2: $6 MY3: $7 MY4: $8.25 MY5: $9.75 MY6: $11.5 MTotal: $56.5 MCap Hit: $6.5 MDon't think it should matter because I still offered the highest total salary and highest guarantee, plus immediate starting job and he gets to take it to the Pats 2x a year...but this would have made it even more money between the two offers.Noticed Loadholt's offer was also withdrawn, which should have been covered with: "and any other players that may have outstanding offers from the Jets", but just to be specific. The 3 guys the Jets went all-in on were: Flacco, Vollmer, and Avril.Assuming players are awarded they are each year, my O-Line is now very strong with bookend OTs of D'Brick and Vollmer to protect Flacco, with Donald Thomas and Brandon Moore as my OGs, and Nick Mangold at center. Got Avril at 3-4 OLB last year, and I truly think he would be a star in the NFL at the position under Rex Ryan. Rex Ryan made Suggs the force he is after moving from DE at ASU to his OLB in Baltimore. Avril has near identical athleticism and explosiveness to Suggs (check their measurables and size, etc.) and I think he can make the transition back to LB quite easily because he played it in HS and at Purdue. Without any pass rushing presence, we desperately needed Avril. Worth every penny.
