All bonuses must be equal every year. So Year 1 cap hit is 2,500,000.

Also, Toler was franchised so you have to either up the offer or cancel the bid.

Wait, so they franchised their 3rd/4th string CB and are paying him 10 million + per year?

LOL I'm droppin that bid

EDIT: Ah, he edited it after seeing I was interested. Either way, I'm out, and I will watch on with amusement. Might try and pay a CB that's actually elite or look to the draft myself

Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals have decided to part ways with Jamaal Anderson, DE. After going on IR last season and with only having 7.5 career sacks since entering the league in 2007, the Bengals feel the cap savings of $2.5 million ($1,875,000 after 75%) is better spent on other needs.

The Bengals have also decided to part ways with Jason Allen, CB. Jason Allen was a 1-year pick-up who only even active for 4 games and was held back by a hamstring injury on top of that. While his presence on the roster was appreciated due to the lingering health issues of our first round draft pick Dre Kirkpatrick, we expect Kirkpatrick to be healthy and ready to go this season. His cap savings of $3.7 million after the $400k in dead money ($2,775,000 after 75%) will be used to help better the team in other areas of need.

For both cuts, the total savings after the 75% rule is $4,650,000 which will round to $4,750,000. This gives the Bengals 39.75 million in cap space to work with this off-season. Look for the Bengals to be big players in FA and make a push towards getting past the Texans in the first round of the playoffs this seasons.

Each cut is figured individually, so the total cap relief is $5,000,000.

Dallas Cowboys Cuts:

Doug Free | OT

Free was set to make $10 mil of that $7 mil was his base salary. Per the rules, we would free up a total of $5.25 million and increase our salary cap spending to $20.25 mil. Free's play significantly downgraded since getting his big pay day, thus cutting him to free us of this contract and pursue another OT that will perform well for us.

Free has a cap hit of $10,020,000 and if you cut him you have a dead money cap hit of $10,020,000. So basically, if you cut him, you don't get any cap relief. You need to subtract the dead money column from the cap hit column.

Not exactly right on the first one.....

Base. Bonus. Total

Year 1. 10,000,000 2,000,000 12,000,000

Year 2. 15,000,000 9,000,000 24,000,000

Year 3. 20,000,000 6,000,000 26,000,000

Year 4. 27,500,000 5,000,000 32,500,000

Year 5. 27,500,000 3,000,000 30,500,000

Should be

Joe Flacco

5 year deal w/ 25 million signing bonus

Year 1 base salary 10,000,000

Year 2 base salary 15,000,000 (using your numbers, this salary is incorrect. Base salaries can increase by only 20% per year, so the max here is 12,000,000. All the rest below need to be adjusted as well)

Year 3 base salary 20,000,000

Year 4 base salary 27,500,000

Year 5 base salary 27,500,000

Year 1 cap hit: $15,000,000

Total contract: $135,000,000

Oh, and I round up on the cuts, so you get an extra $250,000 for cutting Kolb. I'm adding 5,750,000 to your cap.

ok im ok with those numbers on flacco, im tryin to figure out my cap will i need to make another cut to make the flacco contract?

Chiefs

chiefs cut matt cassel(9.8 cap) netting another 7.5 in cap space??

Dwayne Bowe

5 Years | $55 million | $4 mil signing bonus

Year 1 | 10,000,000 | 2,000,000 | 12,500,000

Year 2 | 10,500,000 | 0,000,000 | 11,000,000

Year 3 | 10,000,000 | 0,500,000 | 10,500,000

Year 4 | 9,000,000 | 0,500,000 | 10,500,000

Year 5 | 9,000,000 | 0,500,000 | 10,500,000

Year 1 Cap Hit: 12,500,000

Brandon Albert

4 Years | $20 million | $2 mil signing bonus

Year 1 | 5,000,000 | 500,000 | 5,500,000

Year 2 | 5,000,000 | 500,000 | 5,500,000

Year 3 | 5,000,000 | 500,000 | 5,500,000

Year 4 | 5,000,000 | 500,000 | 5,500,000

Year 1 Cap Hit: 5,500,000

William Moore

5 Years | $20 million | $3 mil signing bonus

Year 1 | 3,100,000 | 600,000 | 3,700,000

Year 2 | 2,900,000 | 600,000 | 3,500,000

Year 3 | 4,000,000 | 600,000 | 4,600,000

Year 4 | 3,400,000 | 600,000 | 4,000,000

Year 5 | 3,600,000 | 600,000 | 4,200,000

Year 1 Cap Hit: 3,700,000

Bowe & Moore contracts are not right.

All contract numbers must end with 000,000/250,000/500,000/750,000. The Moore deal has all sorts of numbers....for year 1 use either 3,000,000 or 3,250,000, not 3,100,000. Bonuses are the same thing, so his bonus needs to be either 2,500,000 (500k per year), 4,250,000 (750k per year), or 5,000,000 (1M per year). Same applies to Bowe.

Albert's contract offer is good.

Can you break it down to me? I've been thinking ive done it right.

go here http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/dallas-cowboys/cap-hit/

Find Free & then look at the value in the dead money column.

Then take the money in the cap figure column and subtract the dead money. That's the figure we go by. You get 75% of that.

So, for example.....Dan Conner has a cap figure of 4,350,000 and his dead money is 1,350,000. So, you save 3,000,000 by cutting him. In-game you get 75% of that in cap relief, which is 2,250,000.

That help?

The numbers will actually be....

Joe Flacco

5 year deal w/ 25 million signing bonus

Year 1 base salary 10,000,000

Year 2 base salary 12,000,000

Year 3 base salary 14,250,000

Year 4 base salary 17,000,000

Year 5 base salary 20,250,000

Year 1 cap hit: $15,000,000

Total contract: $98,500,000

Right now you have 23,000,000 or so in cap space, so you are fine as far as that goes.

Brian Urlacher - 3 year 15 million. 6 million signing bonus. 3 mil per year. Year 1 - 5 mil hit

Jason Campbell - 4 year 3.5 million. 500k signing bonus. 750k per year. Year 1 cap hit - 1.25 mil hit

These 2 contracts are not quite right....

If I'm reading it correctly, Urlacher's should be 5 million per year w/ a cap hit of 7 mill

Campbell's deal if it's 4 years, the min. signing bonus is 1 mill.

Henry Melton - 6 year 36 million. 12 million signing bonus. Year 1: 2 mil. Year 2: 3 mil. Year 3: 4 mil. Year 4: 5 mil. Year 5: 5 mil. Year 6: 5 mil. Year 1 cap hit: 4 mil

hey just makin sure you know, william moore was franchised by the falcons gm so if you want him you gotta give up draft picks plus pay him more than the franchise tender is

thanks for that. Just looked in the other thread and saw the franchise. Editing my FA post now.

I am caught up to this point here.....please do NOT edit posts from before this point, I will not see it.

I edited my post from earlier before I saw that you had updated this. I actually released Dan Connor instead of Doug Free and taken the offer of Andre Smith off the table in place added a couple of more offers. If you want me to repost it, I will if it's easier for you. Don't want to confuse you if I double post without you knowing.

Caught up to here now.....

PLEASE PUT TOTAL VALUE in the contract offer. This is all of the base salaries PLUS the signing bonus. If you don't put it in, I may not include it in the spreadsheet. I use total contract value as a factor in determining who a player signs with, so make sure it is correct.
