And there isn't a doubt in my mind that Obama chose Hagel so that he could blame republicans for the demise in Defense spending when the sequester fails because it was overseen by, as you said, "one of their own." He is filibustered by Republicans. And you figure out a way to make it some kind of play by Obama.Maybe...JUST MAYBE...he nominated him because he thought he was the man for the job.I know...crazy.
