WiscoFalcon
I'm going to flip, seriously, we have needs on offense (OL, RB, WR), but we have more needs on defense, and it's obvious...DE, DT, LB, S, and CB all need to be addressed this off-season in my opinion, we need to re-vamp this team to make another run in the 2014 playoffs.I know I speak for a lot of people when they say they want Alex Okafor at #30.Okafor isn't flashy, but he gets the job done.Just please, don't draft a TE with #30... J0ker
I agree with you. Our O-line was great or dominant by any means but I think it is serviceable enough for the time being to allow us to focus our picks on other spots. RB - hopefully we can grab one later on in the draft. WR - depth is a need so I don't think we can really justify spending an early pick on a 4th (3rd at best) string WR. WiscoFalcon
Depends on free agency.True, I want Randy Starks, but I think we need to draft DE

mumblesjr
i wouldn't flip. keep the offense strong if the right player is sitting at 30. i do want a heavy D offseason/draft though.
J0ker
Why is it highly likely to go offense?
kane#7
I would be ok with a G.Will give Ryan a pocket to step up into, and running lanes for our rbs.I would be upset with a TE or RB however.
ya_boi_j
It's actually 50/50dealing with td, I'd say more 65/

Stop the run and out teams in 3rd and long and Mike Nolan will be aggressive and confuse the QB.I would like Starks or Sapoaga in FA, preferably Starks. If that's the case I wouldn't mind DE in RD 1 IF we traded up for the one we want.I wouldn't mind seeing Turner and Dunta cut while not resigning Baker if Holmes is ready and go after Johnson if possible and Starks. Then yes by all means go all offense in the draft.
russ7000
it looks like we will pick best player on the board... I'd go O line or D line
ssippifalcon
I wouldnt be upset with G in the first if thats the best available, id be pissed if we drafted any other offensive possition in the first though, i kno RB is a need but there is no RB worth a first round pick and quality can be gotten later. I like DT or DE in the first. Id say most likely DT in my opinion.
Herr Doktor
I'm really thinking more in "best player available" at this point.
kiwifalcon
If your going for value G RB or TE I don't think are the picks because there are alot of options to grab a guy for those positions to do a job later on in the draft. At this point I gotta go BPA have a look a the weakest position on my team and draft accordingly. Top Flight
So if a Eifert or Lacy is available we skip them?
kiwifalcon
So if a Eifert or Lacy is available we skip them?Yes.While these positions are a need I feel value can still be had by taking a RB or a TE later in the draft.X is the biggest position of need so at 30 you have to look there first regardless of the OP's initial post. Then I ask myself if this is our biggest position of need can I get an impact guy later if not X is the position I draft first. falconsd56
I'm really thinking more in "best player available" at this point.pretty much.the ONLY 2 positions I would not be ok with at this point would be WR or QB.And if we make some good moves in FA I could even wrap my mind around wr if the value was there. IE a projected top 5 guy falling to 30.
markdzul
Based on who is available, yes we skip Eifert and Lacy at 30.
kane#7
Based on who is available, yes we skip Eifert and Lacy at 30.I'd rather Warford at #30.
falconsd56
So if a Eifert or Lacy is available we skip them?it just depends on FA.I could see us picking either if they deem those guys the BPA.IMO Lacy would most likely be the BPAI tend to subscribe to Denny Greens thought process...... you get the best player available. It just so happens in that scenario Lacy would not only be BPA but would also fit a huge need. Mean Machine
I would be upset if we drafted a TE with our 1st pick. No matter what TE is available at 30, they will never live up to TG in the eyes of our fans. I say DE, DT or LB with the 1st pick. Thats my 2 cents. markdzul
I agree that Lacy would be tempting at 30. My issue is will there be a huge drop off of talent between lacy and the next 5 backs off the board in the 3rd-5th round. Juxtapose that with the value of getting someone like a Warford that can come in and immediaty compete in the trenches .... You certainly have to go in that direction... head hunter
I think TE is the only position that's not a reach at 30. That's the route I would go.
