they've cut and traded some guys. those were all or nothing moves, they ended up with nothing

• Chamberlain $1.45
  

On the fence moves could be:

• Lofton $7.10
  
• R. Harper $7.10

Restructures could be:

At this point, every player needs to be evaluated for the scheme. I think he and Grubbs were good signings from last year. I see them looking elsewhere to balance.

Smith is gone simply because he's a 4-3 DE and on the downside. Doesn't help that his cap savings would almost half the overspending with just one move.

Babs and Beer are more than Solid ends.

Babs? Yes. Biermann? I don't know if I can agree with that. A good defensive in in a 3-4 usually plays around 280+. Biermann is a measly 250-260ish, last I checked. He'd get thrown around on running plays and wouldn't even command a double team, ever. So on passing plays, that leaves the guard open for picking up LBs. Not a great matchup.

I'm not buying a 3-4 switch unless we're able to do some major front seven renovation. We have a few DT's that might be able to play DE in a 3-4 but we'd need three starter-caliber linebackers, at least one of whom being a major pass rusher.

Man Seeing Lofton getting cut would be HILARIOUS to me.

We also have a couple easy cuts to make to free up a good chunk of change.

Cutting Turner and Drob frees up between 10 and 13 million between the 2.

With guys like Blalock, Clabo and Roddy all restucter/extenstion possibilities aswell.

My hope is we roll into FA with 20ish mill in FA
