Trouble
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000136770/article/niners-block-new-orleans-saints-effort-to-interview-ed-donatellThe New Orleans Saints contacted the San Francisco 49ers in an attempt to interview secondary coach Ed Donatell for their vacant defensive coordinator position, according to a source with knowledge of the Saints' plans. However, Donatell is under contract with the 49ers, and the team made the decision not to permit the interview.Donatell is a former Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator. He said he felt better equipped to run a defense now, even if he'll have to wait at least a year to do so.So there was a reason for why the Saints waited until after the SB. Serge
Couldn't stand him when he was here and I can't imagine how someone could look at San Francisco's secondary compared to the rest of their defense and say their secondary coach needs to be a coordinator again. Saints definitely did better.

falconsd56
Wasn't he the D coordinator for Green Bay for the infamous 4th and 26 play??Yup....but I will say this he got a raw deal there.....the story is he wanted to blitze but mike Sherman over ruled him and called the prevent zone......he was fired the next day. Truth be told his first year or 2 he was not horrible here but his last year it was as if he forgot everything he knew about football
