Dirtybird#11
He HAS to be the next great pass rusher. He is going to replace abe if you like it or not an if he doesnt come to atl then were pretty much screwed on the defensive side of the ball. Its time to make some moves TD make it happen. Oh4Real?!
Let's just tank next season for him. hahahahaSeriously, this dude will be a MONSTER throughout his career.
Francis York Morgan
There's right about a 0.01% chance we get him. Which means you think there's a 99.99% chance we're screwed. There are other solutions. I love the guy too, but this is like saying unless we get Star this year, or Jarvis Jones, "we're screwed." Kinda surprised I had to spell it out.
Terrell71
Hes gonna be the #1 overall pick whenever he decides to leave we hav no shot in getting him unless we give up all our draft picks for the next 5 years
kane#7
He is coming out next year and going #1, he would be #1 this year if he came out.No way we could trade to #1.
Guest Gritz
It's a simple concept that most people understand rather easily:The Falcons are too good of a football team to ever be able to draft Clowney without giving up multiple future picks....probably multiple #1s. Steel City Falcon
The only way the Falcons get him is if they finish dead last next season... Clowney is going #1 overall.

T.Mays
Trade our 2nd round pick this year for some sorry team 1st of next year is the only chane we are going to get close to a top 10 pick.
Psychic Gibbon
The only way the Falcons get Clowney is with the #1 overall pick.
Francis York Morgan
Trade next year's 1st and 3rd for the Jets 1st next year. They're way over the cap and Rex Ryan might convince their GM that it's a good deal. Meanwhile, we get a top 3 pick.Pipe dream, yeah, I know. Guest facelessman07
When's the last time the Texans won the Super Bowl? The Bears? Vikings, Cowboys, anyone? All teams with "elite" DE's. As much as I'd love to have Clowney we'll be fine without him. In Nolan I trust

You need a good to elite pass rush to win in this nfl. Although they didn't pressure us but the 49ers with the Smith brothers. The only team that was the exception was the Aints and the bounty a late hits propelled them.
Trufant Island
I love Clowney. Ive followed him since his junior year of high school (Im a big college football recruiting follower) and I think he is insane. BUT, he is getting WAY too much hype right now. Great player, but probably not even worth our side of the Julio deal
FalconsIn2012
If Ryan, Julio and Roddy all have season ending injuries in the pre-season, then we have a 50/50 shot at landing Clowney. Barring that disaster, there is a better chance of my wife growing an Adams Apple overnight then there is of us landing this beast... And BTW, if that happened to my wonderful wife, what the heck would that say about me? The implications are disturbing. Guess we could always be friends and hang out on Sundays to cheer for our Falcons.

I firmly...FIRMLY believe that defense wins championships and an elite pass rush is part of that but it's only a piece of the puzzle and that was just a simple explanation I provided earlier to prove we don't need Clowney. That's been proven time and time again. Weak link with the teams I listed earlier is the inconsistencies on offense, something at times we struggle withHaving said that we will continue to struggle protecting a lead if that issue isn't properly addressed. And there's plenty of good looking d lineman in the draft Edited January 24, 2013 by facelessman07
