Falcon Fireman
ATLANTA—Following their disappointing 28-24 defeat to the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game, members of the Atlanta Falcons confirmed Tuesday that the team is beginning to understand why nobody in the country believed in them this season. “At first I thought everyone was just bitter about our number one seed, but after blowing a 17-point lead at home to lose the game, now I see why people never stopped doubting us,” said Falcons wide receiver Roddy White, adding that with a 1-4 record in the playoffs since 2008, “it totally makes sense” not to take the team seriously as a postseason threat. “I guess when you think about it, we’re basically just an above-average team that always falls apart during the playoffs, so it’s no wonder everyone kept saying we wouldn’t even reach the Super Bowl, let alone win it. And they were right.” White also confirmed that after a second-half interception and a costly fumbled snap, the entire Falcons organization now realizes why the entire country has always insisted that Matt Ryan is not an elite quarterback.http://www.theonion.com/articles/falcons-starting-to-see-why-no-one-believed-in-the,30985/?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=SocialMarketing&utm_campaign=standard-post%3Aheadline%3Adefault

Francis York Morgan
Just because some fools on this board will use this to insist the team actually believes this, I hope everyone reading knows the Onion is a fictionalized parody paper. Peyton
a lot of truth is said in jestThere is some truth to the article, it's just not funny, so it's a fail for the Onion. The article they had last week about Tate claiming he caught the hail mary against the Falcons, now that was pretty funny. Miller2Rison
aaron rodgers, tom brady, peyton manning all got farther than matt...oh wait no they didnt.
Peyton
The Onion article is trying to make fun of the people who said the Falcons were not for real, as the Falcons obviously came within 10 yards of getting to the Super Bowl. They obviously were a real contender.I can see what the writer was trying to do, he just didn't really pull it off.In the NFL, there is only winning and losing, there are no moral victories. He's trying to give them one but nobody cares.

BCEagleATLFalcon
aaron rodgers, tom brady, peyton manning all got farther than matt...oh wait no they didnt.Having a ring absolves them of the harshest criticism. (Which is both fair and unfair. Fair because they've proven themselves on the truly biggest stage in the past. Unfair, because, ring or not, their play-off turnovers this year were pretty d*mn ugly too.)

Sheerz
I am more confident in Matt's abilities now, than I have been. I was seriously doubting after last year's playoff loss. I'm not worried any more. He has what it takes to Bring Atlanta the trophy. He looked better than Peyton and Brady in the playoffs this year imo...
