Guest Negatorris
In three games the Ravens have given up a total of 43 points.-3 FGs by the Colts-3 TD Passes by the Broncos-2 FGs and 1 TD Pass by the PatriotsWith our offensive production in this year's playoffs we would have won either of those games with no problem but...-28 points by the Seahawks; 21 in ONE QUARTER-28 points by the Niners, along with a missed FG and a fumble by them at the 1 yard lineThat's 56 points given up in just two games. It's far from anyone on the offensive side's fault that we aren't getting ready to play in a Superbowl right now.
ditchdoc57
Thanks Torris, really tired of reading how the offence and Matt Ryan was at fault. I believe if you put that many points on the board then you should win. Starting in the 2nd quater our D didnt really slow them down.........and if we are Blaming players where was Spoon, Nic, Asaute......etc.
leowolf
That is what happens when you have one of the best general managers in the game that has planted defensive talent . The Ravens don't feel the need to spend 5 draft picks on a wr . They rather utilize the picks for defense and find a wr like Torrey Smith and make a trade for BoldinThe Ravens are not in the Super Bowl though this year without Flacco . He has been clutch and has out played Manning , Brady and Luck

crankdatfalcon
The offense could not produce any points in both playoff games in the second half...true enough they played lights out first half of both games but there are 4 quarters to each game..no excuse for that at all...this loss was a complete team loss..both sides of the ball F up big time.. When you get no pass rush and you aren't a good pass coverage team to begin with you are going to have issues in a passing league. Throw in no running game and critical mistakes.. It's actually a tribute to how much they got out of this team this year, looking forward to them making changes and continuing to get better. I do hate it for Gonzo.... Ergo Proxy
Yep. Everyone knows defense needs help first. We win/lose so much by our offense its stupid. No need to be the Colts.

Ergo Proxy
Doesn't matter when you're giving up 28 pts/g in the playoffs. And the issues vs. rushing teams and points allowed/yards allowed on the ground being the #1 killer of the D anyway this year... BCEagleATLFalcon
Wow, we allowed 13 more points in 4 fewer quarters? When they faced Brady and Manning? That IS a little depressing to think about.
gravedigger
This loss was a total team effort. Offense, defense, special teams and coaches, all had a part in the loss. If anyone of them had done a little better in the second half, we still would have won despite the others not playing well.
J-Wall
I just say facts. Look at all the defenses we have played in the post season. I believe they were all top 5. Look at the defenses Flacco has played bottom of the league every single year. Flacco is good but he isn't as good as Ryan. Fact
leowolf
Doesn't matter when you're giving up 28 pts/g in the playoffs.you are about that check how many points the 49ers vaunted defense has given up in the two playoff games . They are winning cause of there offense
J-Wall
We played very well on O all year long and in the post season.. if I were to blame any thing on either side of the ball it would be the defenses inability to make stops late in the game. You can't not allow teams to gash ya in the later parts of the game.
leowolf
49er defense -55 points which is 1 less pt then Falcons and 49ers are in Super Bowl 49ers offense won them both playoff games with a young inexperienced QB

Kaep had a pick 6. 7 of those 24 came in garbage time. The Niners were playing two bad defenses in terms of stopping mobile QBs. The Falcons faced two top 5 defenses. Any other excuses you wanna make?
SaintsFanInLA
But your defense was gassed because the offense couldn't stay on the field or at LEAST score points in the second half. Not to address that issue is sort of myopic. If your offense put up 10-14 points in the second half of EITHER of your playoff games, none of them would have been close.
