blaming the refs is a classic. every loser does it. nothing too original

as a Falcons fan, this is very true. we lost this game. Sure, if every call went our way, we wouldve won. same can be said for every team in a close game in the history of sports. we lost bc our D imploded for a 2nd straight week. it is hard to admit, but being stubborn and saying we didnt deserve to lose will get us nowhere. we need help on D. plain and simple. the O faltered at the end, but no way you can blame this on them. we simply didnt have the personel to stop their passing attack. davis ripped us a new one

Prior to the ball being thrown, he was completely legal. When the ball was in the air, he was no longer impeding White's motion, which means it wasn't PI.

it was close but we shouldnt have let it come down to that. good game. i hope we have been showing you class on this board. you guys played a great game. good luck next week. your team is good.

Every fan complain about the refs. I left the dome thinking the game was called pretty fairly. That is until I got home and watch that 4th and 4. Roddy had no chance of catching that ball with the LB draped all over him. He was holding on for dear life. Wow, oh well.

Most of your guys have. I have been very impressed with the sanity of many of the posters here. The fact is, Atlanta is a very good team, and if this game is played 10 times, I think Atlanta wins at least 5. I think you guys all vastly underestimated Colin Kaepernick's ability to throw from the pocket, and I think he was the real difference in this game, but the Falcon's offense looked completely unstoppable. The only thing that stopped the Falcon offense was the Falcons. Even on that last pass: it was BEHIND. Had Ryan led the WR, that's a first down or more.

The thing is, perfection is hard to keep up for an extended period. For the first quarter and a half, the Falcon's were literally running PERFECT passing offense. What went wrong for Atlanta is that Colin Kaepernick and the 49ers offense was approaching perfection after the 1st quarter themselves.

It is LEGAL to hold onto a WR in the box 5 yards past the line of scrimmage like he did. However, as I showed in my screen cap, when the ball was in the air, he WASN'T holding White. He was reaching around him to hit the ball with this left hand, while his right hand was out in front in the air, not even touching White.

i wouldnt say thats the reason we lost, it helped for sure. that kaepernick roughing the passer call really pissed me off though. if thats roughing the passer, they need to re word that rule. rename it im gonna treat the qb like a lil girl and that mean man gave me a bad feeling, 15 yard penalty 1st down

willis wrapped his head up while ryan was running... came up bleeding from the mouth... thats odd.. whys he bleeding if a had isnt up in his jaw?

On Brooks' sack, Ryan still had the ball when Ahmad jumped to sack him. If the QB holds onto the ball until the last second, the defensive player cannot stop going for the sack because the QB might throw soon. Look at this pic of this play. When Ryan throws, Ahmad had already begun to leap and tackle Ryan.

When Ryan ran and Willis tackled him, Ryan did not slide and become a protected player. A Qb running with the ball is just like any other player. It is not illegal to tackle a running QB. There is no penalty for attempting to tackle player running with the ball and making accidental contact with their helmet. Patrick attemptec to tackle Ryan. Ryan ducked to avoid a big hit, this Patrick hit him in the head. Ryan actually did the action which directly caused him to get hit in the helmet -- Patrick was aiming for his body and Ryan ducked into it. Watch it again and you will see.

Did the falcons get a penalty when they hit RGIII in the helmet when he ran?

The ball can touch the ground as long as possession is maintained.

And WE ALL THOUGHT it wasn't maintained.

Need me to open up the gameday thread? There wasn't 1 person that thought it was complete. There are posts of fans that were at the game, and all the fans thought the call was going to be over turned.

I don't need you to open anything. Listening to Mike Pereira was enough for me.

Meh looks like his hsnd gets in the fscemask, o well its over now. Instead of arguing on our boards shouldnt you go celebrate? I know **** sure i wouldnt waste my time on your boards if we had won.

Just seems silly to still have 49er trolls hangin around with a random Ram fan and a bunch of saints trolls

Good luck. And enjoy arguing your points of interest the rest of the week.

After watching the game I also felt we may have been robbed so I went on youtube and found this. Its a pretty new video, I think the guy made it earlier this week but in the video he predicts the ravens and 49ers would meet in the superbowl because the nfl favors certain teams over others and that the best "storyline" always makes it to the superbowl. what you guys think? sounds crazy but idk. Go to 3:37 in the video

HAHAHAHA. I think in another post I said by the end of the night we will have people believing there was a conspiracy. Trollstradamus I am.

In all seriousness, you're the very idiot that makes a fanbase look bad. The typical, "oh, surely my team couldn't have been beaten for the normal reasons, there must be forces beyond our control or comprehension" approach never gets old. It's good to know the safety measures imposed by our society is handicapping all normal Darwinist probabilities that you and your gene pool should be (or should have already been) eliminated from the future of the human race. I'll chalk your case up to the success of the warning labels on hair driers stating not to submerge the hair drier in your bathtub while attempting to dry your hair.

atl wins = atl won the game

atl loses = atl gave the game away. we beat ourselves.

I see this all over these threads.

of course you all cry about the refs. face it the team lost because the team wasn't as good as the niners. the seahawks had the falcons beat last week, but idiot coach gave the game away.

it took Goodell crippling the Saints to get you to this point and you blew it. no free pass next year.

2nd rate team for a 2nd rate city.
