Falc_Fan_Since_Six 1,145
No way that isn't at least illegal contact on the fourth down play. I think the no call was a "makeup" for the questionable call on the Harry Douglas catch. It happens. Oh well, it was a nice season. Congrats to the niners.

Should have been first and goal Falcons. The no call was a makeup for the Harry Douglas catch that could have gone either way.
Volunteer Falcon 628
Yup that was definitely PI, I knew it would be s long day with the officiating during the 1st drive when there was a obvious PI against Roddy that wasn't called.
Dumb9erfan 20
so you guys want holding calls within the legal area of 5 yards? come on. instead of blaming the refs blame your d and the fact that the second half you guys did literally nothing.
Big Rob 64 476
We had a couple of non-calls go our way. Turner moved early on a play. Julio pushed off on another play. Roddy grabbed a DB on yet another play.We weren't robbed by the refs.We were robbed by the ineptitude and the pathetic failure of our defenseless defense.
Falc_Fan_Since_Six 1,145
The HD catch could have gone either way and had we scored and took the lead. The niners fans would have been crying foul. I'm upset about the no call but at the same time I accept that it's just the way the game is called sometimes. Not surprised at all though considering the personal foul call against us earlier for breathing on Kap.

It was right at five yards....very questionable...could have gone either way and could have even been considered PI.

I'm not trying to offer it up as the sole reason we lost....I'm just saying it was questionable and usually when you see a no call like that, it's a makeup for something that happened earlier. I actually didn't think HD caught the ball on the play earlier. As I said, if we had gone down and scored, niner fans would have had a legitimate beef. We have one on that play. It is what it is.Makes up for your challenged "catch"Exactly...
MilleniumFalcon 3,084
The holding call was questionable, so was the Harry Douglas and Colin Kaepernick 15 yard for barely touching the facemask.... But that was definitely roughing the passer on the 2nd down play when Matt got hurt.
Falc_Fan_Since_Six 1,145
Shot ourselves in the foot with the INT and the unforced fumble as well. I'm not trying to make an excuse, I'm just pointing out that the no call on that last play was a makeup for the earlier questionable catch ruling.

I usually don't have a problem with the refs if they are consistent but I don't see how you can call the roughing on us for an incidental blow and then not call it there. postseasonchampions 4
Maybe if your boy Asante Samuel spent less time trash talking a kicker, he could cover better. Congratulations Falcons, for yet another post-season spectacle.-Post-Season Champions
Power O 120
The 4th down non call was bad. But nothing compared to the roughing call after we stopped them. That was a game changer. Makes the non-call on the play Ryan got his shoulder hurt a lot harder to take. We had a **** of a year. We really did.

Falc_Fan_Since_Six 1,145
In the end it was a good game. I knew they would not walk all over us the way the media and the niner fans thought and I knew when we got out to a 17 point lead they would come back. I saw it coming down to the last few seconds which it did. Once more, congrats to the niners. Not much more to say.

That's essentially what I said. The third down catch was questionable and so was the no call on fourth down. Edited January 20, 2013 by Falc_Fan_Since_Six
