falcons007
Falcons usually take time off on Monday like any other team in NFL. Thomas DeCoud was on 790 and this is what he said. 1. All the defense was in the building on Monday watching the miscues and blown plays from the se hawks game. It was the little things here and there which made a big difference. 2. The defense picked the poison on containing certain skill players and shut down others.3. The 49ers are better matchup for defense in terms of their skill players. 4. Russell Wilson was a bad match up as he doesn't run but buys time in the pocket moving and then goes deep for a Receiver. 5. Kaep is different than Russell Wilson and he runs after the first read is not available.6. Kaep is more dangerous in running, its important for every one to do their Job. Looking forward to the game and said he is confident of W if they play good football and not as bad a matchup as last week.

Trouble
Good they need to. Its insane to think we almost blew a 20 point lead.Thats down right embarrassing. The stat is like 98% teams with a 20 point lead win. Thats in reg season. It hasnt been done for lord knows how long if ever in post season. Thats shameful.our D is better than that. We have some skilled players on D they need to get it together. Its crunch time. Elite teams dont have to remind their players whats on the line. Its getting to all or nothing mode.Fight or go home. lju713
Ive been saying it since 4pm Sunday. I'd rather face Kaep now at this stage than 2yrs down the line. I we make him play hesistant and force some TO we will win.

VoidedSaint
you know DeCoud is arguably my favorite defensive player for the Falcons, and yet cannot find a single jersey of his in the ATL shop... have any of you seen one?
Trouble
This is a big change from what we saw last time we won the South (besides winning the playoff game). Smith rewarded wins with extra time off. That was pure stupid. Good teams dont need that reward. They know you have to be a oiled machine to win.We obliviously needed the work they way we played vs TB and how we almost blew 20 points vs the seahawks.Im just glad the team sees what the fans do and are doing what they can to improve that. B3TD
I hope they actually listen this time. I remember during the bye they focused on middle-school basics on sound tackling, yet the missed tackles have still reared their ugly heads at times. Trufant Island
I really think something a lot of people are ignoring is that WE HAD A 20 POINT LEAD. Sure, we didnt finish up by 20, but the fact that we were up by 20 at the half means that if we can adjust a little better and finish stronger, we can blow these guys out. Not that I think the 49ers are a bad team at all. We need to respect them because theyre here for a reason, but to think we can beat these guys is ridiculous. We were up 20 on a team that blew out san fran

ghoticov
Anyone that watches Kap can see that he goes through one, MAYBE two reads and then runs. He reminds me a lot of Vick from 2005. He is talented, that's for sure... but I believe our D can shut them down.
jamescbr
good!!!! I know these guys are professional, prideful athletes, and I know that they are more disappointed than any of us are with their performance......I wouldn't be surprised to see a much better showing this week....Rise Up Falcons!!!!!!! RVJATL
After the display of poor tackling presented on Sunday, they need to work on that as well.
JCity
Corners better be in shutdown mode so the front 7 can light that kid upour secondary did a fairly solid job the main issue we ran into was our front line not getting pressure on russ which eventaully leads to inevitable miscues like we saw in the first, the second half we got off the gas unfortunately and saw a little more "safer" coverage which lead to completions. As long as our backers or nickel find an answer for TE coverage so we don't have another Miller-eque performance we should be good!

We would need better showing from Willy Mo and of course the tackling goes with out saying.
Red Rain
5. Kaep is different than Russell Wilson and he runs after the first read is not available.Which implies he's not good at reading defenses. The more I hear about CK, the more he reminds me of Mick Vick. Running if the first read wasn't available was the exact same thing Vick did for years. He never did learn how to move through his progressions or how to read a defense prior to the snap (until he got to Philly anyway).
