Falcons won 16-14 at Georgia Dome.DID YOU KNOW?The last time a road team won an NFC Championship Game in a dome was the 1998-99 season, when the Falcons won in Minnesota.FALCONS BREAKDOWNAtlanta almost completed one of the all-time playoff choke jobs when it blew a 27-7 lead entering the fourth quarter against the Seahawks, fell behind 28-27 with 31 seconds left but escaped on ex-Giant Matt Bryant’s 49-yard field goal with eight seconds to go. The Falcons had been 0-3 in the playoffs in the Mike Smith/Matt Ryan era and desperately needed this victory for their credibility.NINERS BREAKDOWNIn Colin Kaepernick’s first career playoff start, he threw for 263 yards and two touchdowns and set a playoff rushing record for QBs with 181 yards and two scores. He rebounded nicely after throwing a 52-yard pick-six on his second pass of the game on the 49ers’ first possession. He has become a very dangerous player since Jim Harbaugh made him the starter on Nov. 19. The 49ers and Falcons have not played since 2010, when Atlanta won, 16-14. The 49ers are trying to get to their sixth Super Bowl (they are 5-0) — but their first since the 1994 season.
