Ethos
Don't care what anyone says. Sherman's a good respectable player. Dude aint a malicious D-Bag like D Hall.
Scorpion
Roddy was open a few times before that but Matt either didnt see him , threw late, or missed him.Roddy was so mad that he had to be seperated from the wr coach like 15 minutes into the game. Anyone hear/see that in game..
«HÂWKÂÎл
Sherman is a good player, respectable? I don't think so. Respect is earned. He doesn't show any respect towards his opponents, so none should ever be given to him Edited January 16, 2013 by Hawkaida

putnam6
Props to Roddy..... Sherman's a ***** only less so than Hall, and yea I know all CB's talk chit and having huge egos is part of what makes them so good.
papachaz
sherman made some good plays today. but he got away with a LOT as well. Roddy had a decent game. He did blow by him on that TD play. anyone notice sherman diving at his legs trying to PI to keep him from catching the ball? he knew he was beat and there was nothing he could do about it, gotta love it

Aftermath
Sherman got abused more than once in that game, dude is way over hyped.
sanfranfalcon
Roddy was open a few times before that but Matt either didnt see him , threw late, or missed him.Roddy was so mad that he had to be seperated from the wr coach like 15 minutes into the game. Anyone hear/see that in game..yep...Roddy was PO'd at Matt's throw bein' late on the one that Sherman broke up in endzone. WR coach explained to Roddy why it was late...saw Roddy mouthed 'ok'. fact is Roddy got the better of Sherman all day...some throws just weren't there and gave Sherman time to recover. don't understand Roddy bein' left off ALL-PRO team...cat has been a beast ALL year!!! SacFalcFan
sherman made some good plays today. but he got away with a LOT as well. Roddy had a decent game. He did blow by him on that TD play. anyone notice sherman diving at his legs trying to PI to keep him from catching the ball? he knew he was beat and there was nothing he could do about it, gotta love itthat is his game however. he holds all of the time or commits PI and hopes it's not called. he is very physical and is playing like that patriots secondary a number of years ago that was the cause for the nfl rule enforcement of the contact beyond 5 yards. sherman should have had a number of penalties called against him today that wasn't. JulioHOFer
Sherm thought he was pretty slick after Ryan underthrew a couple passes and he got to catch up after being beat and deflect themThen Roddy crisped him so bad he was almost out of the picture when he fell downTheir only chance to match up with Roddy and JJ was bumping and playing trail technique with safeties over the top

ballfan
Sherman played well. Not sure how many passes he knocked down, but it was a ton more than the whole ATL defense. Atlanta's offense does not get the notice that it should. Will the media even mention the Falcons scored double the Seahawk's season average? Credit the Falcon's with a great gameplan and execution (at least until they scored 27). Credit Atlanta's O-Line, zero sacks and 167 on the ground. No one is saying it yet, but the 49ers have to find a way to stop Atlanta. There is more to this game than a skinny fast QB that ran all over a slow GB defense that did not adjust. dynobot77
I also like the quick "get out of my way" shoulder bump Julio also gave Sherman after HD came to escort Roddy to the sideline.
B_Lo_Touchdowns
I was in the stadium and saw that.. I think Mike Peterson came and separated them!Nope it was Ryan. He broke em up and got in Roddy ear.
pzummo
For some reason, Sherman sarcastically clapped after Roddy said that. That TD catch put us up 20-0. I don't think he had anything to clap about.

I don't think he had anything to clap about.lol, it's all their CB/WR 1 on 1 jarggin.Sherman was hard to throw OVER, BUT Ryan 'did' leave a bit much 'touch' on a couple passes deep. Such as to Harry D and Julio Jones on him. Earlier, Roddy was open middle of the endzone but Sherman had enough time to close the gap on the pass. 1 second quicker or atleast a stronger throw coulda got it.Difference from 7-0 start or 3-0.Next drive INT.Falcons overall coaching staff put our guys in position to make plays all game. Even defense, despite getting throttled in 2nd half, can clean up A LOT of the zone coverage breakdown and limit that in the 2nd half along with no stalls on offense. However, playing SF is a bit different in feel than this game. Aside from potential to be crazy. The details are different.
Magic Man
Sherman also made some very nice plays. You may say you dislike Sherman, but you would be giddy if he somehow became a falcons CB.Noticing a disiturbing lack of bravado, this time around in TATF. Welcome back. papachaz
I actually think Roddy was singing "me and julio down by the school yard" to sherman after the TD catch
MilleniumFalcon
We heard all this talk about Sherman & Browner manhandling receivers, well when they faced two big boys in Julio & Roddy, there was no manhandling.
