Kevo
You have Peyton Manning...you have 2 timeouts...you have 36 seconds...and you only have to get into field goal range. How do you make Peyton kneel the ball?

Kevo
If Denver wins this game,it would be in spite of that call!!
<~MEAT GOAT~>
Same mentality fox has always had. Playing to not loose
SaintRay
That was an insanely dumb call by Fox. I know Sean Payton would have never done that.
Kevo
I just don't understand it.You have a chance to win the game, but you choose to kneel and send the game into overtime.By sending it into overtime, even if you score your opponent still gets the ball back with a chance to score. No wonder Carolina canned his azz!!!This loss is on Fox's stupidity!!! REV.2000
This loss is on Fox's stupidity!!!I DON'T KNOW? FROM WHAT THE EXPERTS AND COMMENTATORSWERE SAYING ALL WEEK .... THE RAVENS WEREN'T SUPPOSE TOHAVE A GLIMMER OF HOPE IN THIS GAME. EITHER THE RAVENSARE BETTER THAN THE EXPERTS AND COMMENTATORS THOUGHT,OR DEVER AIN'T AS GOOD AS ALL OF'EM THOUGHT. TO BE IN POSITIONTO WIN MEANS YOU WERE GOING TIP FOR TAP WITH THEM. BUT ASYOU SAY, AT CRUNCH TIME ...... FOX HAD BRAIN DAMAGE.

Big Bubba
You know... I hated but somewhat understood when he would yank the leash on Delhomme and play ultra-conservative when the Panthers had a slight lead..but...............he's now in the playoffs with one of the greatest qbs of all time. Over 30 seconds left on the clock, 2 timeouts... to march enough up the field to get in FG range so your kicker can put this game away.... Even before that though, his ultra-conservative playcalling limited Peyton, within the final 3 minutes of the game. Allowing Flacco and the Ravens to get the ball back relatively fast, and score with quick strikes down the field. It sucks. Was hoping the Broncos would win the AFC. Big Bubba
Fox should have went for the throat with the playcalling. Screw conservative. I'd trust Peyton more than most qbs in the league, when it comes to moving the ball.
Kevo
As most have learned over the years...you don't win championships being conservative...you win by taking chances.
Shredman
ya know as much as i hate to say itThe Ga Boy Cost them that game, not J FoxC Baily was abused from the opening gun.....and the D as a whole played like hot garbage on that last drive of Regulationand again the Den Secondary was torched....yes Fox should have turned it loosebut that did NOT cost them the gameThe Broncos Secondary did
SaintsFanInLA
Manning was suddenly somewhat confused. I am not sure WHAT the Ravens D was doing to him but he was slightly rattled. You go for the win but maybe he was worried about EXACTLY what happened in OT, a Manning pic.Anyway, I am ALWAYS in favor of going for the win. Playing NOT to lose seems to end up badly more often than not.
<~MEAT GOAT~>
This is the reason I hate defensive head coaches for the most part. Always thinking defensively. More comfortable with the defense on the field. Would rather end the game with the defense on the field instead of letting Payton Manning at least attempt a third down throw. SyCo
you guys need to consider the fact that peyton was frozen to the core, and couldn't accurately throw the ball ten yards. he looked weak and old towards the end. fox knew what he was doing. kane#7
Peyton didn't really move the ball that well the entire game.. they were in it because of 2 return touchdowns. And it isn't like he moved the ball very well in OT.The more likely result there would have been an Reed INT... which I would have loved. Kevo
So you would much rather have put it into the hands of the defense that was getting shredded by the Ravens offense on every single possession?
kane#7
So you would much rather have put it into the hands of the defense that was getting shredded by the Ravens offense on every single possession? No but I would prefer not to send my offense to drive 50 yards in 30 seconds when they haven't been strong all day, with a HOF safety back there knowing you are going to be passing. Kevo
Denver's offense was playing a h3ll of a lot better than their defense was.Denver's defense was plain awful in that game.No way would I have taken the ball out of Peyton's hands.
