ol'_dirty2
With his success this year and eventual NFCCG or SB appearance and or win, Madden could come calling next year. How do you feel about that? In other words, do you buy into the curse hype?

Tandy
I will vote against any Falcon on Madden.Maybe nothing to it - but I won't contribute. Just in case.
ol'_dirty2
Calvin did step up like Brees a few years ago too. Their teams weren't better that year than the year before but individually the were.

#1 pick™
Madden cover isn't a curse anymore but I don't see why anyone would want him on the cover.
theoaklandphenom
Yep, I mean look how well the Lions did this year.Curse was always about the individual player getting injured and/or underperforming. I guess now that Calvin broke the record, it's a team curse though...
THE ICEMAN
He'd have to be voted on now I believe now and no way Ryan would get enough votes over guys like AD,Manning,Rodgers,Brady even a guy like RG3 would likely get more votes Ryan right now is viewed as a choker which really isn't the case but the media gets that impression and just runs with with it. Da Bird is Da Word
I'll take it. Madden 2011 pretty much worships the freakin' Saints. Drew Brees on the cover, disc, manual, game menu, corny inspirational Brees intro, fans holding Saints "who dat" sign, favorite team default to Saints, Saints highest rated team on the game..... I want that. If we win our first SB we deserve a game with Ryan's face all over it just as much. Nah, I won't make a big deal out of it or make silly "EVERYONE HATES DA FALCONS!!!" threads when that doesn't happen, but it'd be nice. deathonwings369
injury is the only threat of the curse your team missing the playoffs or having a losing record is the other.

Dirtybird#11
oh god no why would anyone do that. look at calvin johnson this year yes he broke jerry's record but his team was terrible. But his NFC North was the best division in the nfc
Tandy
Calvin Johnson most definitely did NOT prove the curse wrong. If all you want are yards - well then - OKBut he went from 16 touchdowns last year and 12 touchdowns the year before to 5 TOUCHDOWNS!So what exactly did those yards get him or the team?So he broke a record in yards. Don't you think he'd rather have a shot at post season and the Super Bowl?
Point_Blank
EA does the vote system, no way he'd stand a chance with other big names in the league.
Dirty Bird Icon
Tandy is making VALID points. Additional Valid Points include:Can anyone quantify how many of those "Record Breaking Yards" were in the 4th Quarter when the Lions were trying to climb back into the game and the Defense was playing Prevent becasue of their insurmoutnable lead?!Jerry Rice that year went to the playoffs and didn't get the benefit of 4th Quarter garbage yards................As for the curse...meh, it's whatever to me BUT did you see how DECIMATED the Lion's recieving core got this year?! 4 of their recievers were basically IR'd this year.....maybe Johnson escaped unscathed but the Recievers that played along side him may have felt it! FalconFanForLife
I am only superstitious about one thing in the entire universe, and that is our Falcons.I don't wanna ever see any of me on the front of Madden.
falcon124
I'd rather he be on the cover of the AJC holding a shiny silver trophy.

mth15
Yes, like brotha said 11 had Aints stains all over it. I want to see our whole **** team on the cover. Plus we'd be the first team to crack the cover twice (I think)
Matty Pennington
if he embarrasses himself and his team the way he has the last two post seasons id vote for him to be on the cover. i have more faith in him this year even though his arm strength is still awful at times.
