Just a note. If you have a space eating NT in the 4-3 and a gap shooting DT walling the middle and one penetrating, then the QB cannot step up into the pocket. Then the RE is coming after you it leaves the LE semi-free. You can easily run into the lesser of the 4.

Patrick if given a lane is a relentless blazer. He runs a 4.42 at 6'4

They didn't even sign him, did they?

No, he didn't make the cut.

Wow. We really suck at getting defensive ends if one of our cut players can't win a job against a washed-up player.

I hope Nolan stays because I don't trust anyone that has had a hand in fixing this problem to-date. We have been at this since 2007 and we still only have Abe. We need one in the draft this year and one in FA.

How many millions of dollars have we wasted now?

All of their DE's are smallish.

Not all of them. Red Bryant is 323lbs and they list and use him as a DE. Clemmons is 255lbs and Greg Scuggs is 285lbs.

Irvin is naturally small because he weighed just barely 230 in college and added like 10-15 lbs once he was drafted. He was also not good at stopping the run at WVU and was only a pass rushing specialist.

He was much better because who has was surrounding by more than anything else. Me and KoG were hellriser not to sign him at all for that reason. A lot of being a great defensive player is scheme related or who you are surrounding by. With Sherman on the Falcons, he would be cut ASAP. On the Seahawks, he is a top CB in the NFL.
