Bird of a Feather
Oh please, there was no reason to expect Alabama to crush Notre Dame like that aside from whatever SEC biases you might have.
putnam6
Oh please, there was no reason to expect Alabama to crush Notre Dame like that aside from whatever SEC biases you might have.Besides Notre Dame's cup cake schedule and freshman QB and Vegas' 10 point spread. Oregon would have been a better game.
Trufant Island
Oh please, there was no reason to expect Alabama to crush Notre Dame like that aside from whatever SEC biases you might have.if you watched college football this year, there certainly was. Alabama destroyed Michigan week 1. Notre Dame narrowly escaped a loss against Michigan in a game in which Denard Robinson threw 6 INT's. Notre Dame didnt deserve to be there
Peyton
The truth is that probably 6 different SEC teams would have beat Notre Dame last night. Or more.
Dominique is Manufique
Notre Dame #1. Ha! Ya college football rules. When has a #1 team been a double digit dog in a national championship game????This result isn't difficult to see coming. Jamarcus Russell did the same thing in the sugar bowl. What a joke. NOVAFalconFan
Oh please, there was no reason to expect Alabama to crush Notre Dame like that aside from whatever SEC biases you might have.Seriously, I would never have expected any outcome other than what we got last night. Anyone who watches college football shouldn't have been surprised.
<~MEAT GOAT~>
Notre Dame never stood a chance. There are many other teams that would have had a better chance to beat Alabama.

Bring It
That wasn't even a very good Alabama team, ND shouldn't of been there.Just glaring proof of how NECCESSARY a playoff system is...................in spades. There are approx. 8 teams that are a better matchup and more competitive than ND.Ohio State would have been a great game...................if possible. Urban Meyer, on TV last nite at half time and after the game was biting his tongue, I'm sure wanting to say how pathetic it was having to watch a COMPLETELY overmatched ND team trying to pretend that they belonged there in that game. It was so obvious.

papachaz
The truth is that probably 6 different SEC teams would have beat Notre Dame last night. Or more.no doubt, my 6, not necessarily in any particular order:GA, Fl, Texas A&M, South Carolina, Alabama and Arkansas. I'd have seriously considered those other Bulldogs down in MS too....which one of the announcers/talking heads actually said at half time the national championship game was more likely played back in the GA Dome... B_Lo_Touchdowns
ND was gonna lose regardless of who they played I would've like to see The Ducks and Bama. That was probably the best matchup this season
