Statick
How do you think Arthur Blank would answer that question? He'd probably call you a f'n moron for even suggesting it.
Rod23
He'd probably call you a f'n moron for even suggesting it.This is the mentality that is common in falcons fans, ok with not demanding the best. How many postseason failures will be enough before the person in charge is held accountable?
Peyton
This is the mentality that is common in falcons fans, ok with not demanding the best. How many postseason failures will be enough before the person in charge is held accountable?I am going to go with 25 times. When Smith has lost 25 straight post season games, I think the Falcons should probably let him go at that point. You gotta figure at that point that it just isn't going to happen.
putnam6
With all of the bad coaches floating around out there, you don't fire a truly good one, especially after the success over the past 5 seasons. The guy wins 70% of his games. You'd have to build a gigantic case against him at this point, and "playoff losses" aren't enough yet.Yea big huge no F"ing"way do you fire Smitty regardless of what happens. You reload the roster and give it another shot next year.
Peyton
No, I changed my mind.30 times. If the Falcons lose 30 in a rown in the playoffs, I definitely think they should get rid of Mike Smith. Maybe.

Maybe.i really can't explain why, but this post immediately popped the phrase "I can eat 50 eggs" into my head......maybe because the ignorant arguements against you smell like the prison dorm set in the movie would have after someone eating 50 boiled eggs would smellit also brought back memories of the coop/swift "25 or 30" TD passes bet..... Bring It
Let's fire all the fans who even THINK of losing every time a big game comes along.Earlier this season, prior to the Denver, San Diego, Redskins, Eagles, Cowboys, Saints (Thurs. nite), and Giants games......................the same non stop drivel about what if the Falcons melt under the limelight, pressure, etc. Same endless BS.Enough !!Try investing your precious time on some POSITIVE thinking. What a concept. Ergo Proxy
I get a kick out of all this talk about a HC handling the pressure. What the h*ll does that have to do with what is happening in the game? The HC isn't playing. He isn't even calling plays for either the offense or the defense.Mike Smith has done his job. He's coached this team up to get them into this position. If the Falcons lose, it will be for one of the following two reasons.1. The new coordinators that we love so much will get out coached (highly doubt it).2. The Falcons players will fail to make plays. In short, we are going to win.But if we don't, it doesn't have anything to do with Mike Smith "handling the pressure".Thank god for a brain. PokerSteve
Yep, the only thing Smitty can do to kill you in the game short of sabotage is poor clock management.Or maybe going for 4th and 1 on our 29-yard-line with a well telegraphed Mike Turner run up the gut perhaps?
