SwampyMux12
West Coast teams' uphill fight with NFLMay, 18, 20115/18/1112:45PM ETBy Mike Sando | ESPN.com 2005-2010 Road Records: West Coast TeamsTeam 10 a.m. PT Later Totals San Francisco 49ers 6-27 6-9 12-36 Oakland Raiders 9-21 4-14 13-35 Arizona Cardinals 8-19 8-13 16-32 Seattle Seahawks 10-16 7-15 17-31 San Diego Chargers 12-11 16-9 28-20 Totals 45-94 41-60 86-154 It's a little old, but does a nice job illustrating what I believe to be one of our biggest advantages this weekend. That 1:00 kickoff is awesome!!!!http://espn.go.com/b...-fight-with-nfl Edited January 7, 2013 by SwampyMux12
SwampyMux12
Sorry, that looked a lot cleaner in the preview post... Guess you can't post tables...That looks a little better Edited January 7, 2013 by SwampyMux12
AtlFalc78
Teams that travel across the US typically perform worse, but this year both Seattle and the 49ers did it and won.

ruinah
After a quick check of Seattle's season, on ESPN's site, I noticed this trend:SEA@STL 1pm EST - L@CAR 4pm EST - W@DET 1pm EST - L@MIA 1pm EST - L@CHI 1pm EST - W (OT)@BUF 4pm EST - W@WAS 4pm EST - WI think that 1pm home game is a far bigger advantage than the media even realizes. For comparison, San Fran:@GB 4pm EST - W@MIN 1pm EST - L@NYJ 1pm EST - W@NO 4pm EST - W@STL 1pm EST - L@NE 8pm EST - WNotice that SF only won against the Jets on the east coast @ 1pm & Seattle only won in overtime against Chicago. SwampyMux12
Yea it sucks posting tables. Upload it as a pic next timejThanks for the tip (thumbs up) I think that 1pm home game is a far bigger advantage than the media even realizes.Notice that SF only won against the Jets on the east coast @ 1pm & Seattle only won in overtime against Chicago. It's a tough draw for them for sure. I'm really glad we got them on Sunday, not the Saturday night game. I agree, it's very hard to play a game when you're body is trying to tell you it's 10:00 and you should still be in bed
BR400
I was thinking last night about all the travelling the Seahawks were going to do this week. Their plane probably didn't take of until after 9 last night.....then a 5-6 hour flight, then drive home. They will have to fly here on Friday...I am sure their body clock will be all out of whack. Uh, what were the Falcons doing??? Sleeping at home on their normal eastern time, not on an airplane.
JOEinPHX
There's nothing NFL players and staff like better than a home game with a 1:00 PM kickoff. Everything about it feels right. If you're on the road, had to travel 2500 miles west to east, lost two hours, and spent the last two days in a hotel, you're in a hole right from the start. If you do it two weeks in a row the hole is that much deeper..
