He released a statement through his agent Ben Dogra of CAA Sports: "I want to take this opportunity to apologize for my actions that took place following tonight's game. It was a hard fought game between two great teams and I let my emotions get the best of me. To Richard Sherman, the Seahawks, Mr. Daniel Snyder, Coach Shanahan, Mr. Bruce Allen, my teammates, and all the fans...I am truly sorry. I feel as though I've taken many strides to be a better person this season and this is not how I wanted it to end. And for that, I apologize for my actions."Adam Schefter @AdamSchefterRedskins OT Trent Williams slapped Seahawks CB Richard Sherman at the end of Sunday's game and wanted to apologize pub…http://say.ly/QmG4UiOEdit: Here is the gif. fuego
Sherman was in William's face trash talking meeting in the middle of the field after the game. I don't blame him.

falcons007
They barely beat a one legged QB and Sherman was talking trash. Edited January 7, 2013 by falcons007
Peyton
Sherman is a very good player, but he is a real punkazz.
slamee101
I'm sure Sherman deserved it. He's a great player and I have no problem with a guy having an edge but it seems he's getting a lil carried away with building his "rep".

Butudontseeme™
The caption is stupid though. Sherman is clearly the instigator in that pair.

Leland
Sherman is like Cortland Finnegan, just not as good at drawing penalties and not funny.

Lucky_Tom
Sherman is building wrong reputation in the NFL. He will probably get hit a lot. This is true. Reminds me a lot of Cortland Finnegan. With the exception of maybe Deion, it seems like corners that jaw like that end up looking pretty silly at some point in their careers. See also DHall, or Aqib Talib. Asante is close, so maybe I should be careful calling the kettle black. Because I love the way he plays.

nomak
You can almost see the exact time Sherman shat on himself. Dude was straight up scared. You can bet in the locker room Trent was getting high fives from players and coaches...but you will never hear about it.
NikkiFree3
My only concern is that Roddy keeps his temper in check. You know these guys are gonna talk trash in his ear all game. We don't need any 15-yard penalties. Falcons have to play very disciplined football.
NikkiFree3
I want to see Julio burn Richard Sherman on a deep pass. Hopefully for a TD.
