falconfan5832
When I hear people on TV say RL is a first ballot HOFer(he deserves it)I wonder why JT isn't,after all:JT years played 13,RL 15,sacks JT 21,RL 40.5,tackles JT 1640(over 200 twice),RL1573,points scored JT 36,RL 20,Both played in a SB.I believe it's because of where they played ,and JT played on some BAD teams he was also a replacement player. FalconFanSince1970
I'm probably one of the biggest Tuggle fans on the board. Ray Lewis was a much better pass rusher and cover backer. Jesse came out on most passing downs. Especially toward the end of his career.

falken
There have been many great linebackers in the NFL. Tommy Nobis makes a much better arguement than Jessie Tuggle. He was as good as Butkus....but played on some bad Falcons teams.Ray Lewis may not be the best ever. Lawrence Taylor was a man amongst boys. ....but Lewis studied the game like no other and was a great leader for his team. Maybe the most motivating player ever.......and I loved Jessie.
