savwboy9
Anybody else get the feeling there was some intentional? Break out the vanilla game plan onboth sides of the ball just for the sole purpose ofstaying as far out of sight and out of mind to opposing teams. I watched the game on Sunday and just could not keep this out of mind for the life of me.. I mean the game was just straight up dull

Falcanuck
Yes, I've felt very strongly about it for the past 5-6 weeks. The play-calling at the beginning of the season was so much different than what we've seen lately.
KGrillz
They better break out the non vanilla plays in two weeks or else...
Big_Dog
I'd say this was on the money except we've played vanilla a few other times this season and had fight fiercly to come from behind and win by the skin of our teeth. I wish I really knew.
B_Lo_Touchdowns
Yes the game plan has been dummied down for the past few weeks.
Karst41
Yes!We have them right where they want us to be.
Guest Negatorris
I think we all knew the gameplan was vanilla. The Falcons were not playing to win, but trying to let TB lose which is why I think it was dumb to not pull the starters after the half. No point in having them out there if you don't want them to play to win. If we played to win, the game would have been over at halftime, and the starters would have been pulled anyway. E. T.
So also in other words...you guys are saying the Falcons couldnt even complete and convert vanilla plays.... Im shocked!
putnam6
Well the MF's better break out the F"ing" Ben and Jerry's "everything but the..." for the playoff's. It's time not just to win a playoff game but to win the Super Bowl. They might not ever get a better chance.
MilleniumFalcon
It was more of a lets try some things out this game, more of a feeler. The creative stuff you saw the previous week against Detroit.
Falcon of Truth
It's not really a conspiracy. It's what teams regularly do when they don't want other teams to have tape on them before the big show. It does make for some extremely boring and frustrating Football though. Nothing I hate more than watching a Vanilla game.
FalconsAboveBoard
wont find out until one of the top players retire and they do a segment on the Falcons 2012 SB run on one of those shows on NFL Network. . . then they will speak and say "yea, we pretty much said f this game and we came out vanilla. we were looking ahead to the postseason." Shuswap
We played like we were in the playoffs last week end ,,
dirtybgirl
During that game they said "the Falcons let other teams lose." To me that is a hard concept to wrap your mind around.
Tuggle'2
yes , it looked more like a walk through practice then it did game
Bawse
Better believe they will bring out the A-Team in the playoffs. Michael Nolan will dial up the business.
PapaJoe
The only thing that mattered in August was getting into the Playoffs AND Winning there.Falcons are now in the Party.... time now to Bust A Move!!!!
BirdzEyeView
I felt the same way while watching the game also. I'm confident the cans of whoop azz will come out @ 1pm on Jan. 13th...and, they won't be "vanilla" flavored either.
nomak
I think we will all be happy with what our team brings to the field on the 13th.
PokerSteve
If sandbagging our regular season games the last month has been part of a Super Bowl-winning master plan, not only will winning the Lombardi Trophy be the greatest win in Falcon franchise history, it will also be the greatest successful mass deception in the history of the NFL. Nobody else has ever come out in the play-offs with a completely different game plan from what they've shown all season. A few plays the other team hasn't seen, yeah, happens all the time, but to come out an execute a plan which is totally different and unexpected? I'm pretty sure it's never been done and it would be fantastic if it was our team that pulled off "The Great Disguise" and shocked the football world. It would be something we could talk about and relish for years and years to come in here. That would be incredible, but I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for it to happen. Original dirty_dirty
I'm usually against most conspiracy stuff. However, I started believing a few weeks ago that there's definitely something up this coaching staff's sleeves
