Mr.11
Exactly what I was going to say. Breezy was a stat hog this season, nothing more. This may be a hard pill to swallow, but the Saints have the worst total defense in the league. For them to win, they need Brees to put up monster numbers.
TheFatboi
Arizona I thought he played acceptable.to be honest, he wasn't perfect but he is not the reason we lost.GB yeah, that was Ryan and NY that was MM.I still don't say GB was Ryan. The D didn't make GB punt once. Maybe if we can get some extra possessions the game doesn't get out of hand. He had 2 turnovers but if the D could've gotten some stops who knows. I say it's Him and the D. Not him alone.
xSICKxWITHxITx
This was a good season for him, next year if he want to take the jump to Elite he needs to enter the 40 tds club. He had a perfect season outside of 3 terrible games.40 TDs club makes you elite? Lmao.
Ethos
With the weapons he has he better be putting up those numbers. If anything he's underacheiving...

Theyhateme : )
Ok, he, or rather the team has to win a playoff game. I get that. But geez what a season:4700 yds, 68% comp; 32 TDs vs 14 ints!Over 5 years 18k+ 127 TDs!Call me crazy, but that controversial #3 overall pick turned out better than Flacco, Brohm, Dorsey and Long combined!Grendel where are you? LOL Matt's gotta show that he can kick a55 in the playoffs. But, how can he get to the next level with the OLine as up and down as it has been. He needs to DEMAND that his line gets better. falconsbaby2013
I really hate it when folks constantly comment on Matty Ice not being top knotch.I live here in the ATL and have seen quarterbacks come and go since before Vick. Seriously I believe that Ryan has been the best thus far. Lovin the Iceman!
Falconsfan567
I love it how people bash Matt Ryan for not being Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers. Well no sh!t! Of course Ryan isn't Brady or Rodgers and never will be. Brady is the best QB in NFL and possibly the greatest ever. Aaron Rodgers is arguable the most physically gifted QB we've ever seen and is well on his way to breaking all the NFL records that Peyton Manning is in the process of setting. But there is absolutely no shame in Ryan not being Brady or Rodgers. I'll never understand how that is held against him. Ryan is one of the top 6 or 7 best QB's in the NFL and that's plenty good enough to win a Super Bowl. JBourneMurkedU
You are the epitome of a moron. You make Sarah Palin look like Jonas Salk. STFUI'm not convinced #1pick knows who Jonas Salk is much less Sarah Palin.
daybumper
That is incredibly ********.Hey Bret Farve is still the best qb in the nfl..... after all he had a better career!!Man you are pathetic. The only thing pathetic is your dumb *** responses . Go on any football website like football future and say Matt Ryan is better than Drew Brees you will be laughed upon like the clown you are Falconsd56 . Brook Lopez is having a better statistical season than Dwight Howard ..is Brook Lopez better ? Alfred Morris had a better statiscial season than Aarian Foster . So that means Morris is better then Foster .. dumb dumb dumb logic
FalconinPA
Its all about him performing now in the playoffs and not choke like he has in 3 prior playoff games ..He was part of the problem why Falcons lost in every playoff game they have had over past 4 years ..Ryan needs to be the solution and the answer. He can no longer be one of the problems for our playoff failures..Ryan had a great season . He looked like the 08' Ryan I was in love with at times in pocket ..His down field passing has also improved. Thats all I asked for as a fan...Hope he leads the team to Super Bowl. There should be no excuse why he cantI agree. Ryan had a great year. But this year he has to step up and get us over this playoff slump. I know many will say it is just not Ryan, but the whole team. This is also true. Ryan many times this season has done what I wanted him to show and that is that he can put this team on his back when he has to and lead us to victory. Now I just want to see him do it in the playoffs and we will be good to go.I am actually believing that he will get it done this year. 'leet is a subjective label. Not objective at all. It's all about opinion. I think Iceman is very good but he'll only be elite to me if he can play in the playoffs like he did vs the giants and lions this year. A-TowN.-
Everyone head to the Draft forum and look at the QB threads. You'd then notice how bone headed #1 Pick (Holly) is. He has no clue what he's taking about and he gets owned in there. I have no problem name calling because he is a troll who doesn't understand football. Quarterback
I think alot of it has to do with the eye of the beholder. We win the super bowl he is elite to me.So, your acceptance is conditional?Ryan is "elite" right now and he'll get his Super Bowl if our interior OL can keep the pocket from collapsing giving Ryan the minimal time necessary to find the open receiver...which will be necessary if we play Seattle in the first game given their strong DL, strong CB's, and our weak running game.Ryan covers a whole lot of weaskness on this team...especially what I still believe to be a below average OL. MSalmon
Matt's gotta show that he can kick a55 in the playoffs. But, how can he get to the next level with the OLine as up and down as it has been. He needs to DEMAND that his line gets better.Agree to a point. Fact is in his rookie year we played a competitive game against AZ. Turner's fumble , combined with Brookings gaffe lost that game.Green Bay loss was a failure on defense. Literally no punts. Matt played decently until th pick 6. Well you know the rest of the storyThe Giants game was most annoying with all the lack of 1 yd conversions. But there is a common thread in all 3 losses. Either Turner mistakes or ineffectiveness. I'm not completely being a Matt Ryan apologist, but to be fair in all 3 playoff losses we came in with an offense centered around Michael Turner and with an OC in Mularkey who refused to change his scheme. IMO if we get blown out this year, the loss can be pretty much put on Ryan as Koetter has given Matt the keys to the offense. But the past 3 losses are not all on Ryan. Sorry if you run a ball-control offense predicated on power running and Play action, yet can't run the ball that's not all on QB. That's an OC issue.I'm as curious as everyone to see how Koetter does in playoff time.
