GTJeff1975
Not really. I still know Cam, RG3, Luck, and Bradford are much more talented than Ryan. I named those because they aren't the superstars to know are better than Ryan like Brees, Manning, Rodgers, and Brady. Ryan has a very good skill-set, is extremely consistent, and works hard. I can't argue v. him in that regard and with the set-up of these teams, we might get to the Super Bowl this year. I do feel Ryan is better than every NFC playoff QB outside of Rodgers this year.BRADFORD??? Bradford is a friggin train wreck. Your logic is the most bone headed I have come across. You probably think Jeff George, DeMarcus Russell, & Ryan Leaf all have more talent than Ryan.

You probably think Jeff George, DeMarcus Russell, & Ryan Leaf all have more talent than Ryan.Who are you?Regardless of who you are, Bradford has a lot of talent and can make every throw. He just needs to be in ideal situation. His best WR is slightly better than HD83. You have to be real with what players have around them. Why would I think those three have as much talent as Ryan? Those are just big arm QB who were clear busts. Talent isn't tools. Michael Jordan has great talent, JeVale McGee has great tools.
daybumper
but this year Eli helped his team to not even making the playoffs and Eli helped his team to get shut out by the Ryan Lead falcons. The nfl is about what have you done THIS YEAR.Not last year or 5 years ago.And Matt Ryan THIS YEAR was head and shoulders above Eli.When you say someone is BETTER then someone..It means for career and what their careers have totaled. .. Matt Ryan had a better season then Eli but has not had a better career ..thus making him not better than Eli .

Quantify it if you will. Ryan can & does make every throw. It doesn't matter what supporting cast you have if you don't have the talent to use them. You can't give the keys & pit crew of a NASCAR car to an OK driver & expect them to drive it like Jeff Gordon.Who am I? A loyal Falcons fan for 30+ years who is thankful for to have the BEST QB in this franchise's 46 year history. YOU are obviouslya Ryan hater & a Vick lover that is still mad he washed out here & Philly. Edited December 31, 2012 by GTJeff1975
MilleniumFalcon
My biggest issue is Ryan doesn't make players around him much better like Rodgers, Brees, or Manning does but few QB's do and they have special talent which Ryan doesn't have but for what it is worth, we did a great job of surrounding Ryan with the talent needed for him to continue his maturation process. Kudos to TD for that.Brady and Brees in the beginning of their careers didn't make players around them better. Ryan's stats in his first five seasons are favorable compared to Brees / Brady. Brady didn't start putting up elite #'s until his 8th season (2007). Ryan will emerge into that category in the next few seasons.

YOU are obviouslya Ryan hater & a Vick lover that is still mad he washed out here & Philly.a. I am not a moron, watch with the attacks.b. Matt Ryan has talent. That much is clear.c. Bradford is still growing as a player, he doesn't just need talent at this point he needs to develop to get to the next level and with that, he needs help.d. Ryan still has issues with some throws. He can make every throw in practice but in a real game at real speed with real defenses? No.e. I do not watch NASCAR so I have no clue what you are saying. I do know, you can give a very talented player elite weapons and he can become HOF level. See Kurt Warner.Ryan is the best QB in franchise history but that is not saying a lot. It's not like we have legendary QB's who did it for the Falcons. How am I a Vick lover much less a Ryan hater? I do not hate Ryan. I actually like him. Vick is like Ryan to me. I treat them the same depending on the convo. I back Ryan all the time in DC, on this board I do not have to, idiots like you say ******** stuff that makes me not have to say nothing at all in that regard. Karst41
Good Lawdd People.Ryan finished in the top 5 of almost every noteable QB category. The Top 2 QB in passing Yards are Brees and Stafford, and both arenot in the playoffs.Brady, Ryan and Manning are the top 3 guns this year, and if that aint good enoughfor any of you, then go hang!http://sports.yahoo....old_category=QB

In 2010, I said Ryan should be a 4500 yard passer 30TD 100QB Rating guy in the next few years. That happened. Now, he's on the progression for the next step, you can see it coming. Sam Bradford might be able to throw 2 yards further than Matt, therefore he's more talented. It's swiftlogic. These guys are the products of a short attention span media that has given us Skip Bayless and the other idiotic debate shows like NFL AM. Lowest common denominator. Playoff loss = Worst QB Ever. These are unreasonable, unhappy people completely unsatisfied with their lives and have to take it out on the people who are happy with the team. Butudontseeme™
Ryan's team is probably more dependent on him than any other QB/team relationship in the playoffs right now. Also, I'm sure if you asked Roddy, Julio, TG, HD, they would all say Ryan has helped them be better players. He D*MN sure has helped the o line be better than they really are, pretty much his entire career.
