falcons007
He fell short by 9 yards of the record but got his team a trip to play offs with win today. Adrain Peterson coming in to this game had 100 more yards than his QB in last seven games. He should be the MVP. I love Julio
Totally agree! He fell 9 yards shy of the record, but he played a huge role in getting his team to the playoffs! It's been one heck of a great season for him!

muskokas finest ©
He is built like FB.Somewhat. A talented, but little used RB, playing behind a bell-cow. Sound like someone we know?

isproab
I really wanted him to get that record. Great effort anytime a back goes over 2k. Even more spectacular considering he is coming off ACL surgery.
Francis York Morgan
Somewhat. A talented, but little used RB, playing behind a bell-cow. Sound like someone we know?Toby Gerhart and Chris Ivory are both guys we should take a look at over the offseason. Bryce Brown too. Wouldn't take much to get em. MilleniumFalcon
Hopefully they knock off the Packers next week, I wouldn't mind facing the Vikings at the dome.
pzummo
I found myself hoping they'd shank the kick, win the toss, and he'd break the record on the way to an Overtime victory. The man deserved it.

The man deserved it.Ha. Me too. You could tell he was a little disappointed in the post game interviews. He is a straight up beast. He should get MVP and Comeback player of the year. The Viks would probably be winless w/out him.

Pacific_Falcon
i have to admit i didnt think much of peterson when he was drafted. i thought he would constantly be injured, but i admire the guy for blowing up his knee and coming back like he did, especially with a cardboard cutout for a QB. Ponder blows mule dong. GB's D is not good, if Ponder can be just pedestrian Vikes have a chance. I don't trust the Vikes D to not get embarrassed though in Lambeau. we should just start preparing for the Seahawks tomorrow.

muskokas finest ©
Yeah, he runs hard and is pretty good on screens. Is he a FA next year?Has a year left. Gerhart is important to the Vikes, but more so as insurance. Since Peterson is their whole team, how important is insurance? He's done, they're done. falcon90
He deserves the MVP. Still need counseling knowing that we came one pick away from having AP on the Falcons. Darn you Vikings.

falcons007
Imagine if he was paired with a top QB. Falcons were one draft pick away from selecting him. AP in 2007 and Ryan in 2008. We can only dream right.
