Top Flight
Getting blown out 42-0 or lose on a last chance desperation hail Mary with score tied 24-24. Random but thought we'd have some fun lol
FalconFanSince1970
Easiest way to find the answer is to compare how you felt after the 2008 playoff loss to ARI to your feelings after the 2011 playoff loss to the NYG.
ol'_dirty2
Yeah I posted a similar thread comparing our past playoffs failures and I think most people said it depended on the individual game circumstances. My personal thought is a beat down says you weren't ready to face that team, but a close loss means you were close but screwed it up somewhere during the game. The both hurt, for different reasons. You kick yourself for losing the close one but feel like a biotch after losing in a beat down.
Peyton
This one was the worst, thank god it didn't happen to the Falcons.

Peyton
This one probably hurt for the Saints.

FalconFanForLife
I can handle a loss that comes out of a very close, hard fought football game much better than I can a blowout.
NOVAFalconFan
To me, the worst way to lose would be the way we have beaten so many teams, with the final minute drive for a FG. Nothing you can do except pray.

We were all stunned we had a 11-5 team in 2008, people predicted us being the worst in the league, going to the playoffs was just gravy. The 2011 team was expected to compete for a Super Bowl. I think the frustration of 2011 had more to do with expectation, than just how embarrassing the loss was .
Aftermath
When you realized that the coaches never thought you stood a chance of winning anyway.
Da Bird is Da Word
YES! We're going to the Super Bowl! Wait... no...no...NO!!! I'm no Ravens fan, but that's just hard to watch. PokerSteve
This one probably hurt for the Saints. That missed extra point would probably top my list of the most painful way to lose. But since it happened to the Taints I still lawled pretty hard.
