DonDaLuvMaker
Because Matt Ryan deserves to win the MVP. He has had the most impact on his teams W/L record. The Falcons are 13-2. That's the best record in the NFL. No other QB has numbers that blow Ryan's out of the water. He's right there with the best of them. How can any Falcons "fan" not think Ryan deserves to win the MVP?I agree that a big case can be made that Ryan deserves the award but it is just the fact that the media is stuck on Peyton's jock that made me come to terms that Peyton is probably a lock for Season MVP. Falconsfan567
Don't take this as me calling you out or anything, but the whole notion of one player "carrying a team on his back" is kinda crazy IMO. The Vikings are sending more players to the pro bowl than the falcons and are missing another potential pro bowler due to injury. They're not devoid of talent.Really? The Vikings have more Pro Bowlers than the Vikings? Thanks for pointing that out. Really puts a wrench into the whole AP is the only reason the Vikings are 9-6 argument! I never said that. I just said he should and made a case for it and started getting attacked on here because I don't think AP deserves the MVP. Of course it's going to be Peyton Manning *yawn* again. Not that I weigh pro bowlers very much because I think very little about the selection, but it does mean a little.

paulitik
If AP beats the Packers singlehandedly next week, breaks the rushing record and gets a Percy Harvin-less Vikings into the Playoffs he deserves MVP. If not, it's probably Manning's. Peyton Manning is phenomenal, but he got to choose the team with a great OL and Defense. I could easily argue that the Falcons would lose more games without Matt, than the Broncos would without Peyton. That said, the Oakland and Arizona games probably killed Matt's MVP mojo. ChickenBiscuit
Take Adrian Peterson off the vikings and they are a 4-12 at best. It's not his incredible statistics that make him great (they are incredible, btw), it's the fact that he's completely invaluable to the team and has produced week in and week out.GTFO

They have talent in almost every area (at least offensively). Ponder seems to need a little more coaching, though I think Musgrave has adobe a good job so far, Kyle Rudolph has pro bowl potential but he seems to have become MIA over the last 6-8 weeks, decent/good o line, Harvin and AP speak for themselves, yet you got superman out there doing it every week. I definitely have no problem with AP winning the MVP, I'd just rather see our guy win it.

Probably not as good as 4-12.

That's why megatron is pretty much eliminated since his team is sh!tty this year. You can't be that valuable of your team can't even win with you. I love megatron to death, but there's no way he should even be considered for MVP. Sorry.Matt stafford would be a better QB if he had to play a significant amount of time without megatron. He'd finally learn how to adequately use other talent they have. Edited December 27, 2012 by Butudontseeme
