MVP has turned into a QB award.

Watt should be one of the serious front runners if that was not the case because I doubt that the Texans defense would be anywhere near as good without him.

And the Texans defense hasn't been that good lately or have you not been paying attention?

Ap made Vikings relevant. Look how they did after he got injured last year. And look how they've don't this year when he's been fed the ball.

He got hurt in like game 16 last year. They started the season 4-2 and AP had 2 touchdowns and only 100 yards rushing in 1 of those games. They've gone 5-4 since AP started putting up monster numbers.

Ok. I completely disagree.

Comeback Player of the Year.

Yes but sometimes the injuries help show how much a player has impacted a team. Manning should win comeback player of the year. I don't think the Vikings can beat the packers and make the playoffs, therefore Ryan should be MVP. However, if they do make playoffs then Peterson should be MVP, and Ryan can be offensive player of the year. If the Vikings don't make it, then Peterson shouldn't be left out in the cold and still get offensive player of the year.

Watt has dominated all season on the team with the 2nd best record. His 20.5 sacks have been responsible for close to half of their team sack total with 43 sacks. I know that the Texans defense has not been good lately but Watts production has not gone down at all because he has 4 sacks in the last 2 games and 9 sacks in his last 5 games. I was just saying that he would actually get a good amount of considerations for Season MVP if QBs were not as favored as they are for the award. The same with players from other positions that are not QBs.

matt ryan has thrown half his ints lately. guess that means he s out for mvp by your logic. i mean surely real mvps don t ever throw 5 ints in one game against one of the leagues worst teams right?

there is nothing wrong with thinkin that, but matt has a he77 of a supporting cast, unlike some other players. yes our d might have had a few games off this year, but so has matt, against not the best opponents. its all a matter of opinion. has matt, ap, watt, megatron and manning had great years? absolutely. but some have done it with a lot less help. and it is clear that there is bias to qbs in the mvp award.

I would like for Ryan to win the MVP as well but we all know that it is going to Peyton because the media has been building up to it. Let Peyton have it because even though he is already a 4 time Season MVP winner he only has one ring to show for it.

Matt Ryan for Superbowl MVP sounds much better. It would also set Ryan up for a better shot at Season MVP next season.

Don't take this as me calling you out or anything, but the whole notion of one player "carrying a team on his back" is kinda crazy IMO. The Vikings are sending more players to the pro bowl than the falcons and are missing another potential pro bowler due to injury. They're not devoid of talent.
