vel
This board is going crazy over what Seattle is doing. A few things to consider:This is a divisional match up, with the Niners playing on the road. We lost both of our road divisional games to New Orleans and Carolina. Those are the hardest games of the season. The Seahawks are a good team and playoff bound, but I don't understand this defeatist attitude around here. "They match up best with us". How? How about "The Seahawks don't want to see these Falcons"? The Seahawks are not on our level. Period. At no position. We put 30 points on that defense just last year in Seattle. Bring Seattle to Atlanta and they will have some problems to deal with. Not the other way around like some of yall are suggesting. They are playing for their playoff lives, at home and against a divisional opponent. Same as the Rams. The Rams turned up for both games against the Niners. I guess we should be worried of the Rams if they were a playoff team. I just want somebody to convince me why the Falcons should be more worried about the Seahawks than the Seahawks should be worried about the Falcons. FalconsIn2012
Seahawks are a team that is rounding into shape at the perfect time; however, it would take a near perfect game for them to beat us in the Dome. That's what it takes to beat us in Atlanta. And Nolan has drawn up some really nice gameplan's against the option read when Weatherspoon was healthy. And let's not forget that their top corner will likely be out for the playoffs, unless they make it to New Orleans. Contain Lynch and we handle them pretty easily. Edited December 24, 2012 by Falconsin2012

Rodgers trotted in here in 2010 and had an amazing game. We don't want a flashback.Personally I like Nolan's defense against anybody right now. FalconsIn2012
Exactly, but at the same time that's what people fear...the perfect game. Rodgers trotted in here in 2010 and had an amazing game. We don't want a flashback.Personally I like Nolan's defense against anybody right now.Agreed...and hopefully nobody confuses Wilson with Rodgers. His throw to Cobb in the end zone today was other-wordly. It will be a rematch of 2010 in the NFC Championship, and I guarantee you Nolan forces multiple punts. Revenge is a beyotch and it's a dish best served cold. See ya in New Orleans.
Francis York Morgan
If you came in here saying, "can we relax about our Falcons?" after the Giants game, even though the 49ers are FAR superior to the Giants, you would've gotten burned at the stake.Get f*cking real. We're just giving props to a good team. I even said in my thread that I think we beat them in our house...but it's threads like yours, posts like yours, about how they "aren't really that good," that are annoying me. They're the hottest team in the NFL right now, with us just behind. We're still better. But they're VERY good.
vel
I just don't get the fear for Seattle when we just beat them last year. I like Seattle and think they are a tough bunch, but I think the Falcons offense is better. They are built to beat the Niners, Cardinals and Rams. Past 2 champs also came into the dance hot When it comes down to it . 3 weeks ago Falcons lost to Panthersdemolish a Giants team that chances are not making playoffs and beat a Detroit team that was chasing records instead of wins Sea got a great run game They play physical defense and we are a finese team scary match up
Mr.11
My gosh who is "panicking" over the Seahawks? Can't we recognize our competition without being burned for it? Geez, even Matt Ryan and Mike Smith would say "they are a very good team" and would point out notable players like Wilson, Lynch, and players on defense. Would you call them out for "hyping them up" or "having a defeatist attitude?" There is such a thing as being humble, you know. SwampyMux12
No, They won't be... unless you are expecting #6 seed to upset the #3 49ers...Yeah, I thought they passed up SF with this win, my bad. They are 10-5, SF is 10-4-1, they could still get the 3 though.

FalconsAboveBoard
People here are wishy washy. . . and fleeting. . .If SEA loses horribly next week, then it will be: I knew it. They are pretenders, frauds, flukes, etc.smhNow all of a sudden the 49ers are overrated LOL. . . this is comicalIt is darn hard to go on the road and play two great teams back to back. . . . NE on the road and then SEA on the road. . . .Both of thes teams will make noise in the playoffs. . .one game should not make or break a team nor sway people's opinions.swaying with the wind. Tuggle'2
I just really think people are under selling what we have recently done because they just watched a game. A lot of people around here only remember the last game they watched. Whether it be us or someone else. If somebody plays well then its all the sudden doom and gloom , if we play good its ballz to the wall. There has to be a medium ground somewhere.Seattle is a great team , no doubt. People just seem to forget our offense is way better , our defense is tops and likes to take the ball away.If and or when we play Seattle I hope its not still like this around here. We have to play the game before any of yall mofos can start claiming a loss.
Karst41
Seahags played hard and Fast!.They set the tempo and curb stomped the 49ers.If you want to simply diss this down by saying it was justa divisional game then you would be wrong. They have been playing with intensity all season, andhow you play in the regular season is what you carry intothe playoffs.Remember kids, they handed the Aints their hats.Do not be foolish and overlook this team.
