1989Fan
evn though DRob has played well, it wouldnt completely surprise m to see Grimes brought back and DRob released if he doesnt do a new deal. not that D Rob is playing well, but his 2013 cap hit is crazy high. youngbloodz
Shopping together means absolutely nothing. They are currently teammates, what else would you expectjust cause you teammates doesn't mean you have to hang out. I hated a few of my teammates in college and wouldn't have pissed on them if they was on fire
Peyton
If we can resign him cheap why not, AS/Dunta, ,/ McClain / Grimes/Owens ....would not hurt to have Grimes hanging around....I mean thank god TD had stockpiled corners this year....If they do resign Grimes, I doubt Dunta is back. They aren't going to take a 10 million dollar cap hit on a nickle back.
daybumper
Grimes can get more $ on open market even with injury . We will not be able to afford him Plus we have to take care of a injury prone Willy Mo
DD: Objective Elite
Can we please get Moore signed first and then worry about Grimes??
Peyton
I don't think there will be much of a market for Grimes, given his age and his particular injury. I think he'll be signed for a 1 year deal somewhere much cheaper than what people are thinking.
The Don™
If we can bring him back for relatively cheap AND he's healthy, then yeah, I say bring him back. Having cover corners in Asante and Grimes on the outside with McClain in the nickel would give Nolan more flexibility to be more creative with the front seven and safeties.Logically, Dunta would be the odd man out and we would save some money. Andre5000
I've seen pictures of him and D-Rob shopping together. Also his wife is completely redesigning his man cave. Not to mention he wears falcons apperral daily and even love his team mates. I just dont seem him relocating and starting over this late in his career. I believe he will take less money. And Peyton Manning owns a house in Miami so he's gonna sign there too
freebird310
I think Dunta will restructure to stay home....

Players also understand its business but they are friends with each other.
Tribal Chief
just cause you teammates doesn't mean you have to hang out. I hated a few of my teammates in college and wouldn't have pissed on them if they was on firesome you wouldn't have pissed on them or would have. Point is, they are teammates at the same position. I can honestly see them along with the safeties chillin together. Like Julio. Roddy and hd. It's normal. Just like you have players that are friends with other players around the league that play the same position. That's just how it is

fansince78
Peyton Manning was on the sidelines of every game for the Colts last season. He was even involved in creating the game plan. He ended up on another team.I think you are reading too much into his friendships. Many Falcon players have good friends who play for other teams. Guest Fibonacci/Mashburn
I'm betting Robinson will restructure next year. He'll take less over being released and having to take what he can get based on the last three seasons. It's in his best interest to hedge his bets by taking a restructured deal.Didn't he just restructure?

Peyton
Didn't he just restructure?Part of the restructure was an increased in unguaranteed salary for next year, which highly incresases the odds of him being asked to restructure again. NOVAFalconFan
I am pretty sure you are literally the only person in the world who believes what you just typed.Well, Dunta is our best run stuffing corner. Lol!Seriously, though, Dunta closes in run support and the screen game beautifully.Dunta is the biggest-hitting corner we have (I think McClain is the best tackler)Dunta is not very good in coverage. To me, McClain is the best all-around corner on the team. Obviously Asante is best in coverage, and he does close and tackle, unlike his reputation led me to think. I think our secondary could be good going in several different directions going forwards. Even Owens has looked good except for falling down on one play against Carolina. Edited December 18, 2012 by NOVAFalconFan
The Don™
I'd rather resign McClain than resign Grimes.McClain is a RFA so we don't have to resign him after the season. He aint going anywhere though.
Peyton
Dunta is having a good year. I big part of that is that Asante needs very little help on his side so the Falcons are able to roll the coverage over their to him. Eli was looking for Dunta all day but the Falcons had the receivers over their bracketed something terrible. There was nowhere for Eli to go.
