Mid-Nite-Toker
It was weird to see Franks playing defense so much last night. I had a hard time seeing how much he was actually out there and how he played. Did anyone else catch what all he did? Also, I don't think I ever saw Chris Owens on defense.Franks broke up a pass...2 tackles/1 assist

ki46dinah
Promised I would support Franks until he muffs or fumbles...next guy up.He looked better in coverage than special teams yesterday. He did fumble...we got away with one because of a technicality on the fumble. cooperbh
LMAO. Eric Weems was the second best punt returner in Falcon history with a 10.6 average and a TD. Ahead of Tim Dwight, Deion Sanders, White Shoes, Metcalf and everyone else not named Alan Rossum. Man you are getting more clueless by the day. RTFU son.You keep your precious Weems, who will get exactly 10.6 yards every time he touches the ball with a snowball's chance in hades to take it to the house.I'll take a game-changer like Deion or Metcalf who may average 5 yards on 9 punt returns, but then takes that tenth return 60 yards for a TD. Optimus*Crimes
I can't stand Franks. He stands back there dancing like a 12 year old girl in a tutu.
vafalconfan
It's a mystery to me why he is on the return team..it's like we just concede field position on where ever the ball stops rolling or if he makes a catch he just stops and waits to be tackled. Mega Flare
Someone just texted into 790 The Zone asking why we're still using Franks, and Arch and Bell mentioned how Smitty hasn't mentioned making a change. Archie also mentioned how he thought Franks turned the ball over that one time against the giAnts.I want to see HD83 on punt returns from now on. spanish_falcon
He Is really scared of contact, you can see It Also in a couple of plays in defense... He simply try to avoid contact. And Im scared of a Kyle Williams play in the playoffs... Put hd83 or Antone Smith. !!

Did smith realize that? Its impossible not to see how bad he Is returning. But weeks goes by and no changes... Tribal Chief
I don't see HD going in unless it's an emergency situation such as the first new Orleans game. Dude is our secret weapon on offense. Cant afford to get him hurt. He may not have the stats but he gets the big first down when we need it and that's very important. I'd take Weems over him any day. Weems is explosive.
Tuggle'2
I don't give a crap who is back there anyone would apparently be better then Franks. Its so frustrating! I don't even like watching it anymore. That's normally when I will go grab a beer or some snacks. lol

cooperbh
No son you keep your daddy Dimitroff's punt returner Dominique Franks. I'd take Weems over him any day. Weems is explosive.I'm sure to someone who thinks Jason Snelling is the second coming of William Andrews, Weems is greased lightning. To the rest of the football watching world, he and his pathetic 18.3 Y/Rt average this season are merely 90th best in the league.

falcons007
Weems is collecting big money for warming the bench in CHI. He was horrible when Hester got hurt.

I have a bad feeling he's gonna muff a punt and cost us the game. I literally go to the other room when he's back for punts. Smith preaches winning all three phases of the game, but they're losing that one IMO.
