Mega Flare
I hate how he returns the ball, but at least he catches it.
ChickenBiscuit
Man, he's a decent corner, but he sucks at returning punts.Definitely Harry Douglas or someone back there who isn't afraid to get hit.

JermareATL
I'd definitely like to see Quizz back there. He's got great acceleration and elusiveness. He hasn't done anything on kick returns but punt returns are more suited for him. Edited December 17, 2012 by JBtheHunter
cooperbh
Franks is even worse than Weems as a punt returner, which is saying something. At least Weems could run in a straight line after catching the ball and eke out five or so yards. The Pats use Welker to return kicks and yet HD is too valuable to his offense to use in a return role? Today is a huge exception for HD on offense. He's traditionally a ghost when Roddy and Julio play, so I dunno what the fear of his returning punts is
Peyton
Terrible on punt return, I really hope to see Douglas returning punts in the playoffs. He got lucky those officials blew that call.

Ahead of Tim Dwight, Deion Sanders, White Shoes, Metcalf and everyone else not named Alan Rossum. Man you are getting more clueless by the day. RTFU son. fed up !!!
on the other hand, why don't you fellows take it easy with all the bitching, Franks actually had a pretty good game as a defender .
Tribal Chief
Has anyone even considered just how bad coverage has been all year. You have to be smart when returning punts. It could get you killed

RTFU son.Exactly...Weems was time and time again one of the most consistent returners in our team's history...and valuable on all spec teams, and all people did was hate on him when he was here.I remember for years people were clamoring for Franks to do returns...how did that work out?I dont understand why we arent giving someone else a shot at the job...like Toone. It could get you killedI get what you're saying , but special teams has been a strong point for the team. I mean when the commentators are laughing their butts off about Franks fair catching a ball with a 20yd window. The guy just makes bad decisions. Mid-Nite-Toker
Promised I would support Franks until he muffs or fumbles...next guy up.He looked better in coverage than special teams yesterday.
Numbaz
I highly doubt he's on the team next season. They need to bring Weems back to be the Special Teams returner and 4th WR. HD can be Tony G's repclacement PRODUCTION wise. We dont have to spend money or draft a TE next season. Palmer is a solid blocking TE. HD proved yesterday that he can step up with catches when his number is called.
JRid
It was weird to see Franks playing defense so much last night. I had a hard time seeing how much he was actually out there and how he played. Did anyone else catch what all he did? Also, I don't think I ever saw Chris Owens on defense.
