falcon124
Watching this irritates me after our but kicking yesterday.
samtown7
It all starts with OL and DL.

Kayoh
It starts with a healthy offensive line that has only changed one person at a time for a very long time. Matt Light was protecting Brady's blind side from the day he was drafted until the day he retired. It's consistency and respect for the QB. If our OL could stay healthy for a whole year, they'd look pretty good too I'd reckon.

samtown7
I think you are right if we had just one upgrade in the OL.
hiawasseefalcon
It all starts with OL and DL.So right. If we had a good offensive line, teams would actually have to blitz us freeing up our wide receivers. Teams couldn't just sit in two deep zone with man under all night long. Not fair to criticize Ryan after watching how long Brady has.
samtown7
Texans need to pick it up if they want to win in Foxboro
falcon124
Can we borrow the Pats O Line this Sunday? Lol. Brady can have ours. Even swap.

samtown7
This is a DL with the great JJ Watts.
Falconsfan567
Brady is able to sit back there and play pitch and catch with his receivers because his great OL is dominating a great DL.

ChiefGSU275
It's why the giants were able to beat the patriots in the Super Bowl. They knew you had to pressure Brady and knock him down. Any qb that has time is going to look good. Except for John Skelton.
ChiefGSU275
I wish our receivers were that wide open. Geez.
xapno
Good/healthy o line.Matt Ryan looked like that against KC first game of the season... (against SD too, iirc). ..back when our O line was healthy.

falcondiehardsince 88
The reason he has that long, is because teams have tried to beat him with pressure and he carves them up in the spread with five targets all day, so now they bring four.Something I have begged for over the years, 3 and 4 wide sets and spreadbest friend a bad line can haveinstead we force into two wide with turner

Ergo Proxy
Even when there is 'pressure', the Patriots protection STILL is effective and he can CLEANLY throw passes WITHOUT having his passing lanes disrupted OR no room to adjust his position in the pocket to create a better lane.Effective pressure vs manageable pressure.^Ability of the protection scheme and overall OL is the problem/key.
