Peyton
Didnt we beat the Cardinals back in 2009 or 2010 45-3 or something like that?41-7 in 2010.The Falcons have a number of big wins like that actually.

JulioisCoolio
Leading 17-0 and not scoring a single point in the third quarter and only 6 points in the fourth.Obviously took their foot off the gas.I mean if you blow a team out in one half, if you don't blow em out in the 2nd half you obviously took your foot off the gas. The defense has nothing to do with it......

The defense has nothing to do with it......That is not always true. There are such a thing as adjustments and sometimes the other team adjusts correctly.I will agree that in that particular game it was a little bit of both. To go a whole quarter with no points and have the talent that we have on offense...says conservative to me.
paulitik
It's Tom Brady that makes BB great. Take Brady away, the guy is just another coach. A good coach, but certainly not the genius he is considered to be with Brady.Tom Brady might be the greatest QB to ever play the game, but I have yet to see a Falcons game where our WRs get as open as his do. The system they run helps a lot. The aggressive confidence that team plays with is another factor.I'm not saying Matt will ever be Tom Brady, but I've seen this team handcuff Matt, instead of letting him loose. Maybe it will take winning a championship for Matt to do what Brady did in 2007 and take his game up a level. When we absolutely need to get down the field, Matt gets us there. We need to score when we don't need to. Treat every posession like we have a minute left to play, down by 6. There are a lot of similarities in Matt's game now as Pre-2007 Brady. Mike Smith needs to feed the monster in him. Not play careful.

falconsd56
pete carroll already figured this out in half the time...........its an attitude, not a gameplan................its an every game thing win on every play and you win the gameNot win the last play and you win the gameHUGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ONE OF THE BEST and THE BESTReally??And how long has it been since The pats won the superbowl? When teams are " the best" that play teams that are battle tested those " the best" teams usually lose.Want more proof? Look at how the Pats dominated teams in 2007............... how did that end up for them?Or how about last year??The ONLY thing that matters is the W. wining by 50 or by 1 all counts THE EXACT SAME in the nfl. This 2 wide set seems to be very easy to defend when we run it. The only thing that opposing defenses have to do is pressure Matt and its an auto check down. They are good, but they both struggle to beat man coverage lots of times. Not used properly.Terrible route design, very little misdirection.Have you seen us run a play in which one of them was used to get the other open? It honestly seems that 75% of the time they run curl routes. Edited December 11, 2012 by RubberDucky

falcons007
He is not conservative this year but I think he is stubborn. I don't know how he still gives those drive killing carries to MT. Offense is moving the chains on most drives when Quizz or Snelling is on the field. Its a trend I have been watching from the first saints game and all those 3 step drop quick passes disappeared after the ARI game.

the_sheff
I can agree with that. It will be more superficial then anything though.I learned a long time ago that only 1 team will win the championship, so if you dont want to spend the end of every season pissed off you have to learn to accept small victories. A bad team that finds some diamonds in the rough who can become major pieces in the next season can find some solace in that. A young team that breaks through and makes the playoffs over a heated rival can be happy with that. Well for me, a win in the playoffs would be a victory and the season could end without me being in a sour mood. Its a step in the right direction. fuego
In some strange reality could it be that we just got outplayed for a quarter? Not when it happens all the time. Or either we just get outplayed all the time after we get a lead. But why woukd we get outplayed all the time after taking a lead?
